Have Gardenia in garden, leaves are lovely and shiny, buds form but never come into flower. In Geraldton Western Australia.

While there might be climatic, geographical or soil chemistry reasons why your gardenia doesn't flower, and for those things you should refer to some good gardening books, I do listen to Gardeners Question Time from the BBC (available online from the BBC iplayer) and the advice remains constant for flowering shrubs, trees and plants that refuse to flower. The experts maintain failure to flower is caused by looking after a plant too well so the plant converts all that love into growth and the generation of foliage. Plants flower when they fear they are going to die and turn energy into reproduction; flowers. The secret to flowers is to know when and how to treat your plant badly...

Easter Flower Care

When Christmas arrives, shops and homes are filled with Easter flowers, or poinsettias, brightening the spaces with their red and green Christmas colors. This plant has become one of the most representative icons of our parties and it is rare the home that does not have one for those dates. Its success is due to its bracts or red leaves in the form of a star, which after the months become green and then redden again (there is also cream, white or pink). However, although we buy them precious, over time, as they pass the holidays, they begin to lose their flowers, wither and after a month or two they die. And is that the Christmas flower is a very strong plant, but if we do not take into account the basic care you need, we will not be able to keep it always beautiful and flowery.

Choose a suitable plant

When you go to buy an Easter flower, make sure that the specimen has a thick base and that there are healthy green leaves under the colored leaves that form the star. If you see that there are yellow leaves or damage to the leaves and/or shoots means that the plant is not well cared for.
Be wary of plants whose soil is soaked or very dry, as it may be a sign that they are not regularly watering and this may have irreversibly damaged the roots.
Do not buy plants that are found outdoors. The reason they are sold wrapped is that this plant suffers a lot of the blows produced by the low temperatures and in a few days it can lose its leaves almost completely. Make sure it is well guarded on your way home.

Care of the Easter flower at home

When you get home you must remove the wrapper from the plant to aerate it.
Place it near a window where it receives good light and prevents it is very close to sources of heat such as radiators or air conditioners, as they dry the environment a lot and can damage the plant.
Irrigation should be done directly in the pot, never wet the bracts and leaves, and moderately, as much water can rot the plant.
When winter passes you can prune it and even plant it in a garden. When spring arrives it will begin to sprout and grow and will bloom again for Christmas.

Care of the Easter flower in the garden

If you're going to decorate your garden with poinsettias, keep in mind how sensitive they are to low temperatures. Look for the warmest areas for your location and those that may be protected by a wall both artificial and natural.

So when i turn on my sharp hd it turns off then the opc light comes on! Then the power light and opc light keep flashing!! Alls i want 4 it to work? Plz help

The television has gone into a coma. It is going to need to be serviced or replaced. The blinking code is a pattern. If you look at the power light and the opc light separately and independently, you can acquire the blinking pattern. Cover opc and look at power only. Note how many times it is blinking before it pauses. It might just blink steadily. Next cover power and look at opc alone. Note how many times it blinks before it pauses.

Depending on which model you have it might work if you leave the television unplugged overnight. The next day plug the television back in and wait for the blinking to start. Hold down the power button on the side of the television until the light stops blinking and turns red (usually right away). Let go. Press and release the power button once more and the light should turn orangish and then green. The television should turn on.

You can call Sharp and have a case file created and try and INIT with the customer service representative.

What is opc that pops up about every 10 Min

OPC is optical picture control. The television is adjusting itself to the lighting in the room. Even if someone walks in front of the television's sensor it will start to adjust and you will see opc on the screen and green leaves.
You can leave the feature on without the opc and green leaves appearing on the screen. Press the menu button. Scroll down to OPC. Press enter. Scroll to on. Press enter. Press menu to exit.

Replace belt CG

Set Belt CG The OPC belt cartridge needs replacement.

Replacing the Optical Photoconductor (OPC)
Belt Cartridge
Replace the OPC belt cartridge at least once every 12 months, or when
the control panel display indicates that replacement is necessary. The life
of the OPC belt cartridge for the T8106 is about 60,000 images (15,000
color pages), at a 5% toner coverage rate on letter-size paper.
1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Unlock the lever to open the front
cover. This releases the pressure on the
toner cartridges.
3. Unlock the lever to open the top cover
fully.
4. Pull the green OPC belt cartridge lock
levers up until they unlock.

5. Pull the used OPC belt cartridge
upward and out of the printer carefully
to avoid spilling toner.
6. Discard the used OPC belt cartridge
Caution! Do not touch or wipe off any powder that is on the OPC belt, nor expose
the OPC belt to light.
7. Remove the two shipping pins from the
new OPC belt cartridge.
8. Remove the protective sheet that covers
the photosensitive belt.
9. Slide the new OPC belt cartridge downward
into both green lock-lever guides
and into the printer carefully.
10. Push the green OPC belt cartridge lock
levers down until they lock.
11. Close the top and front covers carefully
until they both lock.

TALLY GENICOM 8008

The SVC E9 error indicates a 'BELT MARKER' error.
This means the printer is not detecting the OPC Belt as rotating.

This error can be caused by a damaged OPC belt, you can check this by removing the OPC belt from the printer and look at the OPC belt it should have a smooth green coating if there is damage to this belt it may cause this error.

The error can also be caused by a damaged 'Transfer Belt' when the OPC belt has been removed from the printer look inside the printer where the OPC belt used to be located you should see a black belt towards the back of the printer, if this belt is damaged it can also cause the error.

Ensure the OPC Belt locates in the printer correctly.

If the OPC belt and Transfer belt look to be free from damage and a are located correctly in the printer you may have a faulty belt marker sensor or faulty OPC belt.
You can try substituting the OPC belt for an alternative one if you have this available to see if you can narrow the problem down to the sensor.
