Haier wine cellar HVTS18DABB top zone won't cool.

I have a Haier wine cellar model number HVTS18DABB. I had the unit for less than 1 year and a half. The upper ozone (white wine zone) doesn't cool. The lower one does. What parts would I need to replace?

Maybe not the answer for everyone, but I proved it was the fan by removing the back panel, removing the fan and finger guard, then placing a small desktop fan that was the same size as the top-rear fan on the wine fridge. Pumping air directly over the heat sink allowed the unit to attain the temperature set on the front panel. The old fan would either not turn at all, or too slowly to be effective. These fans are junk. Especially after finding articles such as this out in different forums for the same issue. I have the HVTS18DABB model unit and the replacement fan is a simple 120mm square, 25mm deep 12V DC fan. Similar or the same as you see in computer chassis. Found some inexpensive, high CFM, low noise fans from the following site:
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com
Specific fan for my application was the model SY1225SL12SH. Although I did order a second fan that is similar in case the .5amps was too high and I popped a fuse. These fans are inexpensive folks, as long as you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. Good luck.

Here are the details on my order:

Best replacement fan to use is a Scythe S-Flex 1600RPM model. They're rated for a lifespan of 150,000 hours, and they don't use a low quality/low lifespan sleeve bearing like the stock Yate Loon fan or the SlipStream fan that was previously mentioned. The S-Flex are a lower amp fan, so now worries about blowing a fuse.

did you have to use an adapter to connect the new fan? The fan I got is a 3 pin (3 wires) the old one is 3 pin but only 2 wires and the connector is small than the new one... I've been looking for an adapter but can only find 3 to 4 pin

Per bloodugly's suggestion i visited the site and ordered two fans even though only the upper fan failed. The replacement has three wires (red/yellow/black). I snipped off the original connector and spliced onto the Scythe replacement fan. I did not use the yellow wire. This was terrific advice and certainly worth the thirty dollar investment and 1 hour of effort. The fans do run quieter than the original.

My problem was the same as the one described above, and repaired per the procedure described by nomads15. I find that the 120 x 120 x 25 mm 79 cfm fan I bought at a local computer supply store is far more powerful than the factory fan. The total I spent on the repair was about $9.

I have a Haier HVST18DABB wine cooler, and the upper fan has stopped working (appears to have seized up). What are my options for replacing the fan? I have removed it from the unit, and it is marked...

Hi Bill,
Not sure if you got an answer to this question or not, but I had the same issue and thought I'd reply just in case you still needed help. I was able to order this part for about $30 (including shipping and tax) from http://www.partstore.com. The item number for the top fan is RF-2750-44 and the number for the bottom fan is RF-2750-45.
Based on other posts on this site and other sites it seems that the upper fan dies on this particular model quite a bit.
Good luck!

The control buttons don't effect temp. They don't change when pressed. I this something I can fix?

Thank You, I have been transfering the manuals for parts over along with information about these units and has taken time. OK Click Here=> HVTS18DABB Parts Breakdown In that photo you see your Digital Logic Control Board Part RF-5200-141 and there are only 4 in stock in the USA for your model. Now I believe the problem is the Control Board Part Number RF-5210-37 and shown as number 20 in photo. It also appears that there may be a delay on that part from one supplier for up to 14 days yet Haier is showing 10 in stock and 25 on order and a 10 day delay. Click Here=> HVTS18DABB User Manual I will also provide the Service Manual on my site later today. At the moment there is no photo for your part so click Here=> Appliance 911 I can get any of the parts for USA and Technical Questions answered. I will place a clickable link for you part soon under the photo of the HVF042ABL, Thanks Sea Breeze

I have an Haier 8 bottle counter top wine cellar. No electricity to digital display, rear fan is not on and does not cool. Looking for schematic for possible fuse location.

look down of the wine celllar and take off the plastic cap and clean the electrics contact. After that use use the 4 screwed support to give it the right inclination._400.jpg

Haier Dual Zone Wine Chiller - One Fan wont run

I have the same problem. When I first discovered this, both fans had stopped working and the temp for both zones was over 80. So much for the wine that had been stored there. After leaving the unit unplugged for a few days, the fan for the lower section started working again but the upper fan is still overheating. Haier customer service says too bad, so sad (I discovered this problem in the 13th month of ownership). I'm sure it is not worthwhile to fix this so it is going out with the trash and I'll look for a different brand for the next wine cellar that I purchase. Any ideas?

Haier Wine Cooler won't cycle on and off automatically

If all you are doing is messing with that relay and then it hits the right temp, change the relay. I think the failure is a coincidence.
