INSIGNIA ns-pdp50 plasma. Was playing xbox via hdmi then heard a pop. Picture went black but audio remains. Still have sound on all video channels (both hdmi, coax, components). All fuses look good and theres no apparent signs of bulged cap.s or scorch more so on.. On power up i see green leds light up on a few boards. Im thinking its the main board/power supply.
Any voltage tests that can help me narrow it down?
I suspect that your supply has gone bad. You will need to find the service manual for voltage measurements. If you want to get replacement boards many can be found on ebay or you can check www.shopjimmy.com they stock boards for many units and I have had no problems.
Hello,I have an Insignia 42" plasma same exact problem as stated by another guy,playing xbox heard small pop,tv shut down turned it back on no display just sound.So if sound and my on/off leds are working is it still the main power supply or the ysus board.I also saw no sign of anything burnt or bad on these boards.I could use any input thanks
