I have an exact same problem. Only the thing is, I used it every single day for the last 3 years (++). Yesterday, a static sound interfered and the screen went haywired. After that, the battery just died on me. I tried charging it back, but the LED just kept blinking and the MP3 went really hot. Thinking of disassembling it sometime later. But I have no idea what fault to look at. And, I'm guessing, something might be wrong with the battery. Know any place to get new samsung yp-u3's battery? please help and thanks!

Sony pocket ereader frozen on "are you sure you .....delete items. tried reset many times ...won't work. it is fully charged. plugged in to computer & no lights come on ... computer does not...

Hi shianto,

Because of e-ink screen technology the reader will display last page even if the unit is not charges it may display "full". Try this:

1. Connect the reader to the PC and check if a redlight comes up
2. If there is no light, hit the reset at the bottom for 3 seconds, the light should come on now.
3. Leave the unit charging for about 15-30 minutes
4. Unplug the unit and see if its operational now, if not you can try the reset again and the slide the power switch

MY Zen WONT TURN ON. It also wont charge.

Connect the player to a USB port on the back of a desktop PC.. Check the display for the charging icon . As the display times out after a few seconds, press any button on the player to reactivate the display. If the battery is fully depleted, the charging icon may not be displayed. Cup the player in your hands to check that the blue power LED behind the Play/Pause and Options buttons is blinking on and off repeatedly. This indicates that the player is successfully charging. After 1 hour of charging, power on the unit to activate the display. The charging icon should be displayed. Allow the player to charge for at least 6 hours. During this time, if charging from a USB port, please ensure your PC does not enter a power conservation mode (Standby, Sleep, or Hibernate) as this will interrupt charging. If the player does not indicate a charge, or will not power on after at least 6 hours of charging, please contact Customer Support.
You might try updating your ZEN V or ZEN V Plus firmware to take advantage of new features and functionality.

Without warning and without any impact or damage, it just stopped working, no power, nothing. And it's not a battery issue, the battery was almost completely charged.

Try and reset again.
1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power switch.
3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.

Part 2 - Make sure the player is fully charged.
1. Connect the player to the PC.
2. Make sure the computer detects the player.
NOTE: This part is important:, switch the player to MSC mode, then connect it to the PC.  3. Leave the player connected for approximately 2 hours to charge.
4. Disconnect the player from the PC.  5. Verify if you can turn on the player.  6. Reset the player if necessary one more time.

WILL NOT TURN ON

Your ipod may be frozen. If so, hold the menu button and the center button below it. If this still doesnt work try connecting it to a computer and then disconnecting it.

My creative zen is completely dead it doesn't power on at all also it doesn't charge there is no power what so ever please help me

I have had the problem of the completely dead player after having it for less that an day. No response to any buttons, no response when plugged into USB to charge, and Windows sees it as an "unknown device" when plugged into the PC. It tried the reset hole, and still nothing.

Then I tried connecting it to the PC to charge and then using the reset hole. Success - the player sprang back to life, fully charged. Hope this helps someone.
