Thank you Yalmer, but I have tried the futura support site, but it is silent on this aspect.
Hi i am a very new buyer and i would like to buy more software to alow me to do more with my singer ce-150 but what software ?does any of them work with my machine ? or do i have to use the singer software? hope you can help i would like to use my own pictures to send to my macheine
Is the embroidery attachment connected while you are trying to straight stitch?
I have the Futura CE 150 Singer. It will not let me do ordinary straight sewing. One of the red lights flashes the machine makes two stitches and stops. can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you Roberta
For the older Singer models (CE100, CE200) the digitizing software (autopunch) was only included in the 200 series. If they still have this concept I am afraid that you will have to buy the autopunch add on, that was (and most likely still is, since they sell it) the software that converted scanned or pixel graphic into embroidery files. Check if you have the autopunch feature installed (if it still works that way with the new software, choose "create" in the menu, autopunch should appear under a grey line with "design library" and "lettering" the two items above the grey line).
If it is not there (and the new version has not hidden it elsewhere) it is not installed and you will not be able to convert jpg's or bmp's to the embroidery format.
Sincerely yours
Aki
Another thing: autopunch used to be on a separate CD, not on the CD that had the Futura software on it (at least my CE 200 came with 3 CDs, Futura software, autopunch, and extra designs). Check if it was included in your CE 150 and you just forgot to install it - it would be really a pity to have it double...

I just received the latest technical bulletion from Singer on this issue. The fix to the problem is listed below: My worked perfect with Hyperfont and Autopunch after completing the process. GOOD LUCK!

You need autopunch according to the singer website.
I called the toll free number at this sight and when I asked the question about using clipart, I was told you need autopunch feature.
the website is www.singerco.com.
There is a phone number at that website under customer support that has someone who can give you the explanation, if you wish to call them.
Hope this helps.

Sometimes when that happens there is a very small piece of thread stuck where your thread runs through the machine... check to make sure thats not the case ... I had that happen to me ...even look on top where the thread runs through....

Thanks again but my problem does not appear to be due to the driver or Windows Updates. I am bale to operate Futura CE150 through PC for embroidery. The problem is that when I scan a clipart through the editing software, it scans the picture and brings shows the same on the editing software window. But when I save it only the background color is saved. Perhaps I am wrong in assuming that it will automatically convert the clipart into embroidery format (as the advertisement said). The manual and the futura support site is silent about whether it is possible or what kind of editing on the scanned picture is expected from me so that it can convert into embroidery. My basic doubt itself is whether the Editing software of Singer is capable of it or should I buy their Autopunch for the same. If I know this for sure I can buy it, otherwise it will be an avoidable buy. Thank you, Mr. Yalmer, once again for the interest you have taken in finding a solution for my problem.
Thank you, Now the position is clear, I have to buy the auto punch. Once again thanks to the forum and all who offered help
does the number 19 stitch light up, if it does you have it threded wrong.
