If you are thinkink of the modulo function, usually shortened to mod(, I am sorry to say it but that function does not exist on the calculator. However, there is MODE button that one uses to set the operation mode of the calculator. You have three principal mode setting COMP: the general computational mode SD: a statistics mode to calculate Standard Deviations REG: to perform REGression analyses on statitical data.
Once you have chosen the preferred calculator mode (COMP, SD, or REG) other choices (dependent on the main calculator mode) will be available.

Hello, If by calculus problem you mean derivatives of functions, integrals, extrema and such things, I am sorry to inform you that neither the Casio FX-300MS, nor the FX-991MS can handle them. The newer Casio calculator FX-991ES is capable of performing numerical differentiations and integrations. There also graphing calculators by Casio FX-9750G, FX-9860G as well as by Texas Instruments (TI 83 PLUS/TI84PLUS) that are reasonably performant in that area.
Hello, This calculator transforms every radical into a decimal number. It does not perform exact calculations with radicals. For that you would need a Casio FX-115ES or FX-991ES (Natural Display). Hope it helps.
Hello, The calculator applies the rules during the internal calculations. But all it shows you is the (final) result. It does not keep track of what exponents you used to get to the result. It is not capable of doing symbolic manipulations. Hope you are not too disappointed.
Hello,
The FX-300MS cannot handle symbolic algebra. It cruches numbers but does manipulate litteral expressions. Sorry, it does not factor algebraic expressions.
Hope it helps.
hello, Use [SHIFT] [COS^-1], [SHIFT][SIN^-1] and [SHIFT][TAN^-1] the keys are the same as the direct function, but they are accessed via [SHIFT]. Be carefule with the angle units when handling trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions Hope it helps
