I need to know how to install Windows XP on Mac. Thank you!

  • Anonymous May 05, 2010

Thanks, but i have a regular Macbook - not a mac book pro. I created a particion & installed Parallels properly, yet the XP+SP2 installation disc isn't recognized. the Mac keeps saying there is no Parallels installed, and cannot "find" the XP disc, though it's right in there. I do not know how to continue from this stage, and the installation keeps failing.

    thnx anyway

The easiest, and my personal favorite, is to use Parallels Desktop for Mac:
http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/

If you're not into desktop virtualization (running an OS inside of another OS at the same time), you can do something called dual boot, in which you'll have the option after you turn the computer on to use either Windows XP or Mac. You'll have to reboot everytime you want to switch, though.

Remember to keep a current backup of your data before attempting a Windows XP installation.

I need drivers for my ATI Radeon 5770 model kit for Mac mid 2010 but for use with windows XP Pro because when i change the operating system from OS to windows xp i cant change the Herz on my monitor.only...

You can get drivers for Win XP here:
http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx
This would be for video graphics driver and catalyst control center only. If you could give me the manufacturer of the card, you may be able to get all the bells and whistles that came with your card. Foe example, an Asus card would also use Smart Doctor, Gamer OSD, etc., Those things you would have to get from makers site or, from installation CD. Let me know.

Wireless-B BroadBandRouter BEFW11S4 driversfor mac os x &win xp

Just connect the computer wired on the computer your mac and no need to run the disc because it will not read it because the cd for linksys is good only for windows. You may OPEN safarri or IE browser, then try type on the address bar 192.168.1.1 - nothing for username and password is admin.

from there you may configure the router on what type of internet connection you have from you ISP, don't forget to save settings...

thank you
