Unfortunately this is an unrepairable problem called screen burn.

This happens commonly with old displays and can only be fixed by replacement.

I couldnt find a solution to this problem... If you can take it back to place you got it from and say its faulty. I did that and they replaced my phone with a new one... No problems yet ~ but I've only had it a day...

My Phone has done that a couple of times before. It would slowly start turning off more & more often then it wouldn't turn on with the same problem as you.

Turns out it was the battery as it was a couple of Months old & was out of warranty.

It might be the Keypad not working or worse thing may be the Screen display get need to replace..

Go to control panel- Display settings- See if Colour mode is 32 bit & 256 colours. try to change the display settings.

Otherwise uninstall- reinstall or upgrade thee display drivers using the Drivers disc or from HP website.

Try system restore if happened recently

I called Sprint about this same issue yesterday. I was told by Sprint that the LG Rumors that were made before April of 2008 have a "known issue" with the screen. They said to return it to the store where I purchased it and it will either be fixed or the entire phone replaced free of charge.

I called the store where I purchased the phone (Wireless Giant) today and they agreed. They already had the part on order (a cable) and are fixing my phone on Tuesday, no questions asked.

Hope that helps. Hopefully you bought your phone from a place that has been as helpful as Wireless Giant has been to me. I normally don't have much good to say about customer service but honestly they have been terrific.

This could be an issue with your Video drivers. I would try and Download the newest drivers for my system and see if that helps the problem

My screen goes blank from time to time and when I turn it off and turn it back on again, it seems to re-boot itself and is fine. However, I have never had this problem with any other phone and fear my phone may be dying. It is only 1 year old and worked fine for the first 8 months I had it. But the blank screen seems to happen more frequently lately. I don't think I will buy and LG again.
