If you got themes already, fantastic! If not what you need to do s first search online for themes you want. when you have all the themes you desire connect your PSP to you computer and go to the folder PSP in it you want to create a new folder and name it THEME like this with all caps, so then it will look something like this:

X drive: PSP : THEME

your THEME folder will be in your PSP folder, then you drag and drop all the themes you want

To access your themes go to theme settings in system on you PSP and ENJOY!

Themes that i downloaded, where should i put it??because i putted it in the themes but it is not there when i want to use it as my theme

You have to first download the theme off your computer, you cant get it from your psp's web browser. Then after you connect the psp to your pc, you have to make a new folder in the root of your psp memory card named "THEME". All you have to copy into the THEME folder is the .ptf file. The .ptf file is the theme. Then after you should be able to see it in your psp. Hope I helped!

Themes

Hi, first of all you DO NOT need custom firmware to install themes onto your psp, you need a firmware 3.71 or later to do it. First of all go to a theme site E.G http://www.psp-themes.net/ select a theme you want and download it to your computer. then connect your psp to your pc. open the psp files, go PSP, then there should be a folder called THEME. copy the theme you downloaded and viola. this is the folders in psp memory stick: bf57d12.jpg
the theme file must be .ptf Hope this helps.

Ctf file does not work

you go on google and search "PSP themes" then find on eyou like. extract the theme with WinRAR or other extracting program and open the folder. connect your PSP to PC via a USB cable. go to settings>USB mode. open PSP and there should be a themes folder. copy / drag the .ctf file into theme. disconnect, then go to settings > theme settings > theme, then pick your theme from the list. since your running 3.71 M33, you may or may not have the ability to apply themes.
