My Emerson tv was working fine until someone tried to reset the channels through one of it's menus. The tv went to a slow flashing "now scanning" screen. The problem is, it never stopped. We unplugged it to let it reset however when we turned it back on, it still flashes "now scanning"! We have Time Warner cable and know it should find the channels.
I have tried to use the remote and the functions of the front of the tv to get to a menue to stop the scanning...nothing....it will not let me past the flashing "now scanning" mode.
Does anyone know if there is a quick fix...am I missing something here?

I had the same problem with a 32 inch and i kept "clicking" the channel changer on the remote to force the tv to go to another channel (that had previously been selected during the initial auto scan) --- still trying to figure out why the tv locks onto the scanning for channel

My TV has been working for one year then it just stopped it has been unpluged for about 10 months because I gave up on it but anyways I try to turn it on but it just turns back off.
