well you really don't need drivers for xp+ systems. it should automatically be recognized. you just have to get cd/dvd burning software like Nero. according to this site that drive won't be recognized by vista with out a firmware update http://www.cdfreaks.com/review/13311-LG-GSA-H42N-Super-Multi-DVD-Writer-Review/

This may be a device driver problem.
uninstall then re-install your CD/DVD Writing Program. i,e Nero-Roxio et,c. it has to have The ATAPI device driver installed to function Correctly.
This is normally as sign that the writer is faulty, especially if ejecting on your pc's start up.
Just go through this first to check if it's just a driver fault.
Go to my computer>properties>hardware>device manager and look down the list for your cd/dvd drives and click the '+' sign then highlight your dvd drive and right click to delete.
Restart the pc and windows will find the drive again automatically and install the drivers
