I just got a Flip Ultra HD video camera. I tried emailing a video to two people but it was never received, nor did I get notification that it didn't go through.
I dragged the video from the main page into the little box on the email page, entered the correct information and clicked send.
Any ideas?
SOURCE: flip ultra hd not charging
I came across the same "Check Battery Pack" message last night when trying to charge my Flip Ultra HD for the first time last night. My husband just took an exacto knife and "trimmed" the plastic around the (-) part of the battery and cleaned the terminal a bit and it works!

It's a bad, intermittent on/off switch. If you're real technical, you can take it apart and try to clean it, chances are it's dirty or the contact is slightly corroded, maybe because of humidity. If you can get a broken "as is" model off ebay, you can swap the parts out, possibly. The last and only easy "fix" to a swith problem, is to spray electric contact cleaner into them, to clean them. There are certain ways that cause less stress to the plastic parts that possibly could be susceptible to cleaner "melting", or damage. This rarely happens, but is only a warning. Now, hold the on/off switch toword the floor, and spray upward, into the switch, pressing the switch on and off as you spray. Blow compressed air into the switch as much as you can, and try to shake the excess spray solution out. Let the camera thoroughly dry (depends on the amount of fluid that got inside), but make sure it's dry, say 10 minutes or so. If the switch doesn't work properly now, the unit will have to be disassembled and further inspected, and possibly repaired or replaced. Other possibilities, such as cold solder joints, or cracked joints can cause similar symptoms, but most of the time it's the switch. Good luck, sometimes you get lucky...:-)
