I have a GE Profile WPRB9110DOWW top load washer. My wife ran a load on super and we got water on the floor. I opened up the washer and ran a small load and watched for leaks at all the hoses etc. but no leaks/drips were discovered. I did notice that when we ran the test load it was set at small load but the drum filled half full of water. My thought is that the tank is filling too much. I'm wondering what controls the water level for different load sizes, my question is what does the load sensor in my GE top load washer do?
SOURCE: GE WJRR4170 washer comes out of overflow tube on super load
I have a 2005 model GE washer that would overfill only on SUPER size load. After looking around on the web, then inside the machine, I checked the tube from the tub to the switch, no problem there. Then I found an adjustment screw on the load size selector / pressure switch (all one piece). I moved it one turn clockwise, then ran a test cycle. I got lucky on the first try... no more overflow, the water comes up just above the top holes in the tub. I hope this will help others.
