You always need to keep both coils clean on your AC.

The evaporator coil (where room air is drawn in and through a filter) - is easy to keep clean - 'just keep the filter changed on a regular basis and you will probably never need to actually clean the evaporator coil. Occasionaly you might need to brush the coil with a brush or something - but this is not a big concern.

The condenser coil (where hot air blows from) is even 'easier,' for you don't have to mess with a filter, just keep the coil clean. You can occasionally pull the unit (when needed) and wash this coil with a water hose. In reality this coil will not get very dirty very fast - although it will (over time) acquire some dirt/dust, but as I say - it is pretty easy to keep clean. Note: Condensing units (split systems) that sit in a yard will get much dirtier much faster than window/thru the wall units such as yours, but you still have to keep a eye on the coil.

A good rule of thumb - is to change the filter (in front of the evaporator coil) - monthly.

As for the condenser coil (where hot air blows from) you can easy see it and just need to keep it clean, with no set (usually) time to do so.

good luck!

Clean the cpn14xc9

I think you are asking how to clean the coils on this unit. I would not advise taking it apart unless you really know what you are doing. If the coils are dirty just buy a good can of coil cleaner spray. Let sit for a while and brush the coils with a soft bristle brush. Tooth brush works good. Don't be forceful and bend the fins, it will restrict the air flow and reduce the efficiency of the unit. After you clean it with the spray and brush spray with warm water to remove the remaining coil cleaner from the coils. You may need to repeat this process more than once. Good luck, hope I helped you.

Have a a/c hwro6xc7 will not turn on error code e-1

I hope that you have the remote for the unit. The error code merely means that you have to reset electronics.

If you do not have the remote, believe it or not, some VCR/DVD remotes will work the system. The remote instructions are for a 'One For All' URC-3021B00 universal remote. The Haier remote will use the conventional buttons.

The buttons are as follows:
rewind=power on/off
pause= timer on/off
4=low/high
5=temperature up
9=temperature down
8=fan/cool

DOESN'T SEEM TO BE COOLING VERY WELL

start by checking the air filter and clean if dirty, also I would recommnd spraying a coil cleaner on the evaporator coil and clean it. If the unit appears clean then most likely the unit has a leak and will need to be recharged with refrigerant.

Haier Model HPR09XC7 is 2 or 3 years old and no longer cools as well as it once did. How do I fix this?

Try cleaning the filter if you have already done that find the condenser coil where hot air comes out make sure that is clean use a hose to clean the coil. If that doesnt work you probably have a refrigeration leak somewhere and need to scrap unit and buy new one. Portable A/C units are very disposable. If this helps please rate me and do a testimonial.

Why is my air conditioner freezing up?

The most common reason for an air conditioner to freeze is a clogged evaporator coil. Check and see if the filter is clean If yes then pull the unit our of its case and use the garden hose to clean it out. If it freezes after all of these steps it likely needs a shot of refrigerant.

I was given a Haier ac. I installed the ac. It was running fine. I left the air on today and it was 94 degrees outside. The ac was on all day. I notice it was getting warmer in my room not cooler. I...

clean the filters and clean the condesor coil. You have an air flow problem or it may be low on charge which I doubt because these units are critically charged units. I would clean the coils and filters first.
