You would have to have an External CD/DVD case. That uses USB ports. It should have 2 USB connectors on the end to draw enough power (or separate AC Adapter is the best option).

Though not recommended with laptop power alone because it would pull the battery down fast if used without the AC Adapter plugged in.

Will Intel 530 (240Gb) SSD Drive work on this laptop ?

not sure what laptop but if you go to the manufacture website most have service manuals that you can download. I personally have replaced my dvd drive & screen on mine by following directions. Its a little scarey at first but if you take your time you can do it.

I wanna replace the DVDreader/writer in my Acer Z5600 for a Bluray unit reader/writer can I do this myself because Acerservice in Holland don't wanna do this for me...

Looking at the image of the machine; the DVD drive is a vertically loaded slot.
replacing the DVD reader/writer with a Blue Ray one... not entirely sure if it's possible without advice from the manufacturer (contact them to be 100% sure).
because of the physical dimentions of the screen; the DVD drive will be a laptop dvd drive not a normal desktop one.... so you could hunt online for a slot loaded Blue ray drive for a laptop... but again no guarantee without manufacturers confirmation.
most machines past 2005 have SATA connections inside for the optical drives; but also confirm this before spending money.

MHK2120AT Model number i want to use this hard disk as an external drive

Yes, thats possible, you will need an external usb enclosure such as the one here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-2-5-SATA-Laptop-Hard-Drive-USB-External-Enclosure-/390241288440?pt=PCC_Drives_Storage_Internal&hash=item5adc3180f8

When you get it, the drive will go in it and then you can plug it in via your USB port on your desktop/laptop.

I need a replacement optical drive for the Toshiba A45-s151. I've googled for an hour and can't find a simple list of possible replacements. Any ideas where to look? Thanks in advance.

The "good" news is that laptop CD/DVD devices are "generic", i.e., just buy a new one, and it will fit, once you remove the face-plate from the old drive-tray, and connect it to the new drive-tray.

However, replacing a CD/DVD device in a laptop is not a "beginner-level" do-it-yourself project.
Take the computer to a computer-store, and pay them to disassemble your laptop,
remove the old drive, connect the replacement drive, reassemble your laptop, and test it.

My laptop continuously goes into safe mode. I cannot access windows. I was told a total restore is reccommended. I would like to save as much of my information as posssible.

To do a total restore, Well go into Safe Mode and either connect up to another PC, or use a USB drive and find & copy all you want, to & copy to it. Usually MY Documents or Users, has all the personal stuff. Then using your Windows Install DVD, set to boot off DVD, and boot off DVD, work through until you come to Format, do a Full format and remove the OLD Windows directory, Now install the Windows as normal... when at desktop next using the data you saved, simply copy it back to your hard drive.. You can then simply reinstall any programs and the like and you will be back in business.

Dell monitor and acer one laptop

Yes, you can connect. BUT, after that right click on the desktop and select Properties->Settings. There you will find two monitor icons. The left one is your Acer display while the right one is your new Dell Display. Select the right one and configure it. You should have the same resolution and color as the main Acer display to use it optimally.

Dvd cd rom not reading anything on my Dell computer

Having to use a paper clip instead of the eject button working could indicate a power source problem. Not reading anything on the drive could be either power source, connection cable or motherboard. I would start by removing the drive and checking all connections. You did not state if this is a laptop or desktop. If it is a desktop, there should be several unused power connections. If you do not have the ability to check the used connection, just switch to a different one. Also check the connection cable to the motherboard and if possible change or replace that. If all this fails, I would assume from a distance that the DVD drive is defective and try to replace it.
