Webcam I lost my webcam cd and I have looked on the Logitech sight to try to find a download. The problem is I have an older version so it does not have my webcam on it. If I chose any webcam download and downloaded it would my webcam work?

Look on the back of your webcam for the model number.
Enter it on that patch to search for it.

If it's an older webcam you might not find a driver for it.
If you can't find one at that site, Google for one.

Look at the back, or under your camera and you should see a model number.
Enter that model number at the site and hopefully they will have a driver for your OS.

Some times with older camera you might have a hard time finding a driver, or maybe no driver at all for your particular OS (Like Windows 7 64bit et al).
If it's not listed try Googling it with search terms like "logitech webcam xxx driver Windows yyy"
Where "xxx" is the model number, and "yyy" is the OS version you are using.
Some times you you find a driver that is not logitech, but an OEM one too with a lot of web searching.

Visit the Logitech website and browse the photo gallery for your model and click on the photo to navigate to the support page.
Note - Older models on page 2 - look for the link at the bottom right of page 1 and click on it "Still can't find your product?"

In addition to the Logitech installer you will need to run the support software - Microsoft DirectX . This comes pre-loaded on most Windows computers but has to be updated - I am currently on version 11
To start the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, click Start, click Run, type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK.

Procedure to re-install Logitech software
Close all programs while uninstalling - downloading and uploading software
Disconnect your webcam
Uninstall the current webcam software on your computer
Restart computer
Download the Installation package from Logitech
Run the installer and choose your options during the installation - You may not want Logitech Chat but the Desktop icon for the webcam toolbar is a must.
Connect your webcam when prompted.

Note - you will also need DirectX 9 or above on your computer to support your webcam

Try going to the manufactures web sight, look up your model wecam there should be a download for the drivers there
