Turn the mouse over, and remove the 5th central mouse foot. Underneath is a torx screw. Remove the screw, and turn the mouse back over. At the back, there are two dimples. Between them is a seam, side your fingernail or a knife into the seam, and the top surface of the mouse should easily lift off.

I understand that you don't need to "activate" USB mouse. Turn off your computer., plug in a USB port and turn your computer on. I just don't know it it is compatible with USB3.0 Just some days ago I conected a Microsoft USB mouse to my USB 3.0 port and it didn't wor so reconnected it to USB2.0. Port USB3.0 is 100% ok!

My Logitech mouse isnt working. I tried fixing it, cleaning it, the usb is connected properly. It was fine before, then it started being messed up, I found unplugging and replugging in the usb plug thing...

This is actually a good mouse. Since it is optical, there should never be a need to clean it unless you get some dust bunnies or gunk up inside.
You may be experiencing RF interference, probably from a nearby cellphone, WI-FI, or bluetooth device. Make sure you keep other RF sources clear of your laptop and mouse. Try using your keyboard and mouse ten feet (3 meters) away from any other RF devices, then try halving the distance, then halving it again, etc. until you have problems again. Often I see people with laptops and their cell phone right next to it... and yes, this can and will cause problems.

I personally steer away from cordless keyboards and mice since they do require CPU resources to operate- slowing things down some, plus the added problems with RF interference that can be very difficult to predict or prevent.

I can't open the casing :S someone spilt sticky drink on the mouse and now the right mouse button is a little gummy and not always responsive .

unplug the mouse and put it into a container filled with distiled water. move the sticky keys up and down until they work smoothly again. take the device out of the water, put it on the heating and let it dry for a few hours/days. i used a blow-dryer to remove the last drops - but watch that the mouse doesn't get too hot. done - good as new...

My Sidewinder x6 keyboard only seems to go crazy when i play games like crysis warhead. it will suddenly, for no reason, start pushing buttons automatically. Then when i exit the game, and go to microsoft...

Have you checked using the keyboard and mouse from another system?
And what exactly do you mean by "it will suddenly, for no reason, start pushing buttons automatically" and "ometimes the left and right mouse buttons will also start clicking automatically" ?
Do you mean that the buttons themselves are physically moving?
Try this first: Go to device manager. Find the entry for the keyboard. Right click on the entry and choose the option "Properties". Then, click on the button to re-install the driver.
Now do the same for the mouse.
Then play the game(s) again. If the situation remains the same, go to your dealer and ask for them to be replaced.
If, even after the replacement, the situation remains, repair your installation of Win 7. Now check again by using your applications and games. If the situation remains, you have a poltergeist in the house. (Just kidding!)
If all the above does not work, get back to us with what you have done and we'll do our best to help you.
