How do i do recovery for my msi ?

When i turn on my computer it jumps to a screen with 5 options: safe mode, sademode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, last known good configuration, and start windows normally. None of them seem to be working, even when i pick safe mode. Every time i pick one, it jumps bak to this screen after the windows loading screen. My question here is how do i fix it ? n If i cant fix it, how do i do recovery in here ?

Just insert the cd and boot the computer from it and then choose fix problems

The U100 does not have a CD drive. Make a bootable USB drive of XP or Ubuntu, recover files and then use an F3 Hotkey system recovery back to the default factory settings.

Lost Windows 7 Password, How to Get in Your Password Protected PC in Safe Mode?

Lost Windows 7 password, what will you do to get in your password protected computer? In fact, there are lots of ways for you to regain access to the locked computer? In addition to use a password reset disk to reset Windows 7 password, you can still log on your PC in safe mode to change the lost Windows 7 password. It is very simple. Just three steps. You could follow the below guide.

Step 1: Enter safe mode in Windows 7 operating system

1. Start or restart your Windows 7 machine.

2. Press the F8 key to enter Advanced Boot Options just before the Windows 7 loading screen appears.

3. Use arrows to choose Safe Mode when you can see the Advanced Boot Options screen.

4. Press Enter and wait for Windows 7 files to load.

5. Log on with an administrator account when you can see the log on screen.

Step 2: Change lost Windows 7 password

Now you are logged into Windows 7 in safe mode. You diagnose and solve some serious problems under it, especially when starting Windows normally is impossible. To reset Windows 7 password, just do as follows:

1. Click Start button and input lusrmgr.msc into the Search box.

2. In the coming Local Users and Groups screen, double-click Local Users and Groups, and then click Users.

3. Right-click the account that you need to reset the password for, and then click Set Password.

4. Type and confirm the new password.

Note: you can also go to Local Users and Groups screen by right-clicking Computer to select Manage on desktop.

Step 3: Log on your computer with the new password

You have successfully perform Windows 7 password reset. Now you can easily access to your compute with the new password. Please note that you must log on with an account that has administrator permissions.

More information:

When you are presented with Advanced Boot Options screen, there are 3 variations of Windows 7 Safe Mode.

Safe Mode - This is the default option and is usually the best choice. This mode will load only the absolute minimum processes necessary to start Windows 7.

Safe Mode with Networking - This option loads the same processes as Safe Mode but also includes those that allow the networking functions in Windows 7 to work. You should choose this option if you think you may need to access the Internet or your local network while troubleshooting in Safe Mode.

Safe Mode with Command Prompt - This version of Safe Mode also loads a minimum set of processes but will allow immediate access to the Command Prompt. This is a valuable option if more advanced troubleshooting is necessary.

Actually, the 3 options are available for you. I only take Safe Mode as an example. But if you choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt, you'll need to input related to command prompt to change the lost Windows 7 password.

If you cannot log on Windows with an account that has administrator permissions, you will be not able to enter Windows safe mode. In that case, I'm afraid you'll need third party software Windows Login Recovery to help to bypass your lost Windows 7 password and get back in your protected computer. Windows Login Recovery allows you to reset lost Windows password with a bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive. It takes you take less than 5 minutes.

Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically

Try booting into the Safe Mode and check if the issue persists.
Safe mode is a troubleshooting option for Windows that starts your computer in a limited state. Only the basic files and drivers necessary to run Windows are started. The words Safe Mode appear in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you're using.
1. Restart your computer. Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the Shut Down button, and then click Restart.
2. Do one of the following:
· If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you'll need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.
· If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.
3. On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the safe mode option you want, and then press Enter.
4. Log on to your computer with a user account that has administrator rights.
When your computer is in safe mode, you'll see the words Safe Mode in the corners of your monitor. To exit safe mode, restart your computer and let Windows start normally.

Method 2: Also scan the Computer for error using chkdsk command in the Command Prompt from the System Recovery Options Menu.

To open the System Recovery Options menu on your computer
1.Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer using the computer's power button.
2.Do one of the following:
•If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.
•If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to repair, and then press and hold F8.
3.On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Repair your computer, and then press Enter. (If Repair your computer isn't listed as an option, then your computer doesn't include preinstalled recovery options, or your network administrator has turned them off.)
4.Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.
5.On the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool(Command Prompt) to open it.

6. At the Command Prompt, type: chkdsk /r . Press Enter.

When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and attempts will be made to correct them.

It is possible for the Windows operating system on your eMachines computer to have a critical failure. If the operating system on your eMachines computer is failing, you can use your recovery discs to restore your computer. Recovery discs come with your purchase of an eMachine, and contain your operating system and all your basic drivers. You can recover your eMachines W series in about an hour.

Turn off your computer and press "F8" to enter the BIOS menu. Tab over to the "Boot Sequence" or "Boot Order" menu. Move your optical drive to the top of the list. Press "F11" to exit and save changes. Insert your recovery disc into your optical drive, then restart your computer. Press any key to boot from disc. Select the "Full Recovery" option from your recovery disc menu. Allow the recovery procedure to complete. Hope this helps.

Go to the safe mode option then once there go to start-run-then type in MSCONFIG then go to system recovery then go to recovery for an earlier time. This will reset your Windows to an earlier time you may be able to salvage it without having to re-install the operating system. F8 also will bring you to "Safe Mode" if not do it through the Dos command screen. If this does not work then you might consider re-installing Windows again. John

You need to do a recovery using the recovery console. There is an option during startup, if you are running XP or later, to press F11 for emergency recovery.

Press F11 and choose the option to recover and backup.

This will backup all files and programs currently installed on your computer.

After the recovery process finishes, you will have to go through the process of setting up your computer, like you did when you first bought it.

After you are all setup again, it is a good idea to create recovery disks under the 'Start' menu, 'Recovery' option.
