Can I empty my Xerox 6110 waste toner container and put it back in again, or will it wreck my machine? What's the best way to do it?

You sure can, until my piece of sh*t 6110 sied yesterday I emptied it weekly (that's for 2 years). It wasn't that that killed it, the imaging unit went.

Buy a new one, or empty it.

Hello, we have a Xerox Workcentre 7545, the waste toner cartridge needs replacing but we don't have the part yet. Can I manually empty the cartridge in the meantime so we can still use the machine? ...

If you can remove the waste toner cartridge go ahead and empty it out manually. Make sure that it is completly clean out. I use compressed air to flush out any residue.

Can i empty the 7120 waste toner bottle?

No you should not empty this bottle. It is designed to keep the excess toner inside itself and should be disposed of properly. NOTE: To return the used Waste Toner Container for recycling, follow the instructions included with the new container. If the instructions or shipping label are not available, click on the [Recycling] link under the Product Resources section of this window for additional information. Follow this link for detailed instructions on how to replace the bottle once you have a new one onsite. http://www.support.xerox.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?St=161,E=0000000002703235792,K=5302,Sxi=14,Case=obj(1554) Hope it helps!

The screen on my Phaser 6110 MFP says "Remove/Install Waste toner tank." I don't know what that is.

The life of the waste toner container unit is approximately 1,250 pages

for full color 5% image printing or 5,000 images for black printing. When

the life span of the waste toner container has expired, Replace/Install

Waste Toner Tank appears on the display of the control panel,

indicating the waste toner container needs to be replaced. Otherwise

your printer stops printing.

To replace the waste toner container:

1 Turn the machine off, then wait a few minutes for the machine to

cool.

2 Open the front cover.

3 Pull the waste toner container out of the machine using its handle.

4 Remove the container's cap from the container as shown below,

and use it to close the waste toner container opening.

5 Take a new waste toner container out of its package.

Tip

Make sure that you lay the waste toner container on a flat

surface so that the toner does not spill.

Caution

Do not tilt or turn the tank over.

6 Insert the new container into position and then push it to make sure

that it is firmly seated in place.

7 Close the front cover firmly.

8 Turn the machine on.

Caution

If the front cover is not completely closed, the machine will not

operate.

Tip

After rebooting, your machine will automatically reset the
counter for the waste toner container

All the lights are red & nothing will print

Is the waste toner cartridge full? If so you can vacuum out the waste toner and re-use the container. The waste container is on the left hand side with the front flap down.

Phaser 7300N - Where is the waste toner container?

That machine does not have a waste toner container like the xerox phaser 7400. What it does is all the waste toner is cleaned at the IBT belt. If you remove your IBT belt part number 016-2000-00 you will see there is a plastic container at the end and that is where the wast toner is.

Replace waste toner tank Does it mean that the toner is already used

Open your user manual.

Or get one - go to google or samsung.

--- above from manual, following is my paraphrasing due to lack of pictures ---
4. remove the container cap from the back side and cap the opening

5. take the new waste container out of its package

6. install the new waste toner container.

___________
You may wish to TRY EMPTYING the waste toner, but you will find toner is the messiest and possibly dangerous (inhallation, etc) stuff you've worked with. it is an extremely find powder and can cause an awful mess and is best disposed of by capping and replacing the container with a new one (shop around to find them).

DO NOT attempt to vacuum up toner - just my personal opinion - I suspect many vacuums may not have fine enough "bags" to capture this intentionally very fine dust. BUT Toner vacuums do exist and some "may" work.
