When mine does this it means she is not fully in gear. Try manually moving it back and forth a few inches and see if it clicks in.(Like moving the seat back in the car and it doesn't quite click in.) If it doesn't work take it fully back out of gear and try again. Mine is a pride victory 3 wheeler, to check the exact specs on yours follow the link below for a pdf of your user manual. See the bottom of page 34, (Troubleshooting)

From willaston auto electrics adelaide , customer brouht in a pride pathfinder 4 wheeler no forward or reverse movement, has power to volt gauge, horn works, any suggestions appreciated

neville the problem could be numerous things but lets try the simple ones first. a bad throttle pot or speed control pot can cause that problem. Both of those are located in the tiller console and that has to be removed to test them. You can ohms check both with power off and you can voltage check them with power on. You should get a smoth change in resistance as you turn th speed pot and as you move the throttle forward and reverse with power off. alsdo chech the connections in the tiller and remove the seat and battery cover and check the connections at the rear of the scooter sometimes just moving the wires can get it moving again but that won't help you locate the problem if you can't isolate the bad connection or bad wire. Scooters are tough to repair because of the many connectors that they have and the cables runnig front to rear that can cause problems especially with Pride scooters Good Luck I know I didn't give you much but I'm not fond of working on scooters Hope this Helps

I have a 2006 Pride Maxima. Problem comes and goes.

Hi Alex. Does this problem happen when you first turn on the scooter, or does it happen while you are riding the scooter.
It might possibly be that the speed lever ( wig wag ), is not correctly adjusted, or is worn.
Test the lever is correctly adjusted by sitting on the machine with the key on. Slowly move the lever in the forward direction, until you hear the brake click. Take note of how far the lever moved. Now move the lever in the reverse direction until you hear the brake unit click. The distance the lever moved, should be the same in both cases.

Also while you are driving your machine try moving the ends of the lever slowly up and down. If this makes the machine change speed erratically, then you probably need a new throttle pot, or speed lever assembly.

Does your machine show any fault codes or flashing LED's.
Hope this helps. Neil.

When turning the scooter on the system goes by it's self without pushing the handle to go forward

Sounds like the throttle mech has come loose, the lever is normally fixed to a pot with a long stem now if that's moved round it will power it self without any movement?

No movement, forward or reverse

sounds like it is in neutral, look for a lever on the bottom, rear of the scooter to pull up

No reverse and lost speed

that could be that you need a new pot for spped control bar, is there any up and down movement ? if yes that could be intermittant
