CHILD LOCK ON

Zenith TV unlock [Child lock]
Tune the television to a channel blocked by a child lock. The words "Enter Lock Code" will appear on the screen with four dashes underneath
Press the numbers on the remote control to enter the child lock pass code to unlock your Zenith television. When the code is entered correctly, the blocked channel becomes visible. The words "Enter Lock Code" remain on the screen if the password is not correct

Enter "0000" if you did not change the password on the television prior to enabling the child lock feature. This number is the default pass code for the child lock.
Push "7777" if you changed the pass code for the television but no longer remember the code. This number allows you to bypass the child lock and watch the programming.
Key lock
Press the "Menu" button on the remote control to access the "Main Menu" screen on the television.
Scroll to "Special" using the up or down arrow buttons and press the right arrow button to access the "Special" sub-menu.
Push the up or down arrow button to highlight "Key Lock" and then press the right arrow button.
Press the up or down arrow button to change "Key Lock" to "No" and then press the "Menu" button to save the setting.

I think that somehow the child lock has been activated somehow. Try this -PRESS MENU BUTTON THEN UP / DOWN BUTTON TO SELECT SPECIAL MENU THEN TURN CHILD LOCK OFF

Without remote its not possible to disable child lock. If it possible to arrange the remote then you can do the following to override the lock.



1.Press VOL+ on the remote and CHANNEL + on the
front of the TV at the same time. Enter New Pwd.
will appear on the screen. (You must be in the Enter
password screen when attempting this).


2.Press the number buttons to enter a four-digit code.
The code will appear on the screen as you enter it.

3.Press OK to save the code.

4.Press MENU repeatedly to exit the menu or the menu
will automatically disappear within a few seconds if
no buttons are pressed on the remote control

Depend on your remote would be easier with the remote that came with the TV. Can you acses the TVs menu with your universal? if not I don't think there's anything you can do. if yes, this how you do it:

1 Press MENU to show the on-screen menu.
2 Press VOL+ or VOL- repeatedly until SET is highlighted.
3 Press CH+ or CH- to highlight CHILD LOCK.
4 Press VOL+ or VOL- to choose ON or OFF. Choose ON to disable all the buttons on the front of the TV. CHILD LOCK ON will appear briefly on the TV screen each time you press a button on the front of the TV. You can still operate the TV with the remote control.You can still use the POWER button on the front of the TV, but only to turn off the TV (not on). Set CHILD LOCK to OFF to cancel this feature so you can use the buttons on the front of the TV again.
5 Press TV/AV/EXIT to remove the menu from the screen.

The solution is so simple!
Press the POWER (RED) button and the TV/AV button simultaneously - hey presto! the child lock will switch off and you will have your TV back working properly.

and i have also buy sanyo tv kit 360 ch fit in my old bpl 20"tv and i know for unlock tv channel.
try this this code definetly is solve your problem.
1st go to the locked channel.
and then press menu>system>child lock
and then press and hold down tv/av key and press swap key.
and see locked channel is unlock.

my AKAI tv is locked. All i see is a blus screen with a little red lock on the bottom left corner! the only button that works on the tv OR remote is the power button on the remote. PLEASE HELP i have tried pushing every button but nothing happens

Press and hold the TV/AV button and then press the red on/off button, the TV screen will become black, and any buttons on the main unit or the remote control become inoperative. If you want to switch on the TV, press and hold the TV/AV button and then press the ON/OFF button again, the TV will return to the normal TV reception
