You'll want to look at getting XNJB for Mac. It is a cocoa graphical user interface for Mac OS X for the Creative Nomad range of portable MP3 players. I really wanted to put that more in my own words but XNJB was spot on with their definition :) Anyway, this seems like one of the only ways to make them compatible short of running bootcamp on the Mac with Windows Xp. That would be a lot of work if your only intention is to make your Zen compatible. You may want to go to this site if you have trouble getting it set up: http://www.wentnet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1163 - I hope this helps you out! As much as I love Apple products (as well as owning an Apple based business) don't let anyone tell you that 'you just need to buy an iPod'. It's refreshing to see that you're looking for solutions as opposed to breaking down and buying something unnecessarily. Please remember to vote if this helps!

Well it doesn't seem to be recognised when i plug it into my usb onmy lap top and doesnt seem to be charging

Ive had this too.. All you need to do is unplug it. Then use a pin and press the RESET button on the bottom or side not the microphone on the top. Then plug the USB cable back into your laptop and into your CZ (Creative Zen) On the screen of the Zen it should say Docked. And your laptop should recognise your Zen as new hardware. Hope this helps. ;;

No player connected displays, but is connected

if windows doesnt recognise it, its pretty easy:

it happend to my gf. just go to the config screen in windows, system managment, computer managment and give your zen a new drive letter (like "X").

The problem we had was that windows gave the zen a letter that was already in use by some other drive.

after doing this, windows wil recognise it.

If it still doesnt work, just uninstall all creative zen stuff (drivers, programs, etc) and reinstall everything.

hope it helps a bit

Can't Add files to mp3 after reinstalling-device not found.

I have an older ZEN, so I'm not sure if I have Creative Media Source 5, but mine never worked really well either. My Windows Media Player recognizes mine, so I just sync to that library. I even have gotten a new laptop since I got my ZEN and I never downloaded anything, I just connected it to Window's Media. I hope that's helpful!

Zen Vision

It could be anything. Check the firmware on the device? Is it a 1.xx.xx or a 2.xx.xx? What version of Windows do you use? Do you have Windows Service Pack 2? Etc? It really could be anything.
