The R4 card in my sons DSlite was working fine, then when he went to use it it comes up ''system date error! ploease check NDS system date'' i have checked the date on his ds and it is correct. it will work with other games but not the r4 card what do i do?

Yesterday (31/April) I was doing a Google search on the R4i "System Date Error" problem and found the solution! Check out this blog post:

http://www.nds-gear.co.uk/blog/2010/05/nds-gear-solves-r4i-sdhc-system-date-error-problem/

Follow the instructions and use their software (for genuine R4i-SDHC cards only of course) and problem should be solved! Worked for me on a regular DSi console with the original R4i SDHC card, 4GB memory.

It's a bug issue in the firmware of the R4 cards. Won't work after 14 april 2010 unless you update the firmware of the R4 card.
For the time being you can set back the date before 14 april 2010 and it wil work directly.

Hi ya
remove your R4 card. Go to the system setting and turn your date on the dsi back by a year!!
Put your R41 back in and it should work.
happened to my sons and the only way it would work was to turn the date back.

D.S. R4I CARD NOT WORKING, IT SAYS SYSTEM DATE ERROR, CHECK NDS SYSTEM DATE, HELP
hi This happend to my sons, the only way i could solve it was to remove the R4i. On the dis mene go to settings, date, then turn the date back by a year or so....
It must be a virus as my sons will not work on dates past 14/4/2010!!!

Repair system date error on R4 chip
all u have 2 do is take the r4 card out, go to the options and change the date back about a year. that should work. this happened to me today and i fixed it by doin that. i hope it works for u to!

I received my r4i-sdhc and load it on my dslite and wham it boot up displayed it's name and under it the error message! "system date error! please check NDS System date" is it the r4i or what is?!? PLEASE...
R4, you may have updated the wrong dowload, you could clean out the R4 and Update it again

New R4 CARD, LOADED WITH GAMES. WORKED FINE
Yes I can we had the same problem with all 3 of our cards today you just need to take the date back on the actually DS if you take date forward it will not work. Not sure what will happen tomorrow as it seems to be 14th April that seems to b problem. Hope this helps
