Lens error 25 and 15

First I got a lens error 25 and the lens would not go in. I tried everything and it would not go back in. Then on top of the lens error 25 it looks like it is now saying that there is a lens error 25 and 15.

The lens finally went back in but it is still showing both lens errors.

I turn the camera on it comes on then it goes out then comes back on showing both errors.

Any ideas how I can fix it?

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

Im pressing the on/off button and im hearing a beeping noise but the lens is not coming out, on the sceen it says lens error restart but i dont know how to restart it...

This is a typical lens error message, but turning off and on the camera will not fix anything unfortunately.

If the lens is stuck at an angle like the leaning tower of Pisa, then you can try to "snap" it back towards the middle to straighten it out. This is done at your own risk. Hold onto the larger ring of the lens, the one closer to the body of the camera and place the round edge of the outer section of the lens against the edge of a table or counter. Now apply pressure on the lens, pressing it back towards the middle. Hopefully the guide pin that is out of its track will pop back in and everything will work properly again!

If the lens is not at an angle, it needs to be replaced, that's the easiest solution because trying to rebuild one of these lenses is very difficult. I believe we can install a refurbished lens and ship the camera back for roughly $80 including the part, installation and return shipping.

Lens error

Hello,

Please allow me to explain what a lens error is.

A lens error is when the units lens motor gets stuck into position and cannot retract or extend. The units motor is what pushes and retract the units lens in and out of the unit. When this motor is past its prime meaning about to become defective this is the result.

Here is the possible cause:

1. Dirt or debris in the lens housing.
2. The camera has been drop-ed or damaged.
3. Sticky substance got into the lens housing.
4. The motor has given out.

Here are some solutions to try before spending your hard earned money at a camera shop.

1. Take the battery out
2. If the lens is out try to gently push it back in.
3. Put the battery back into the camera and power it on.

Please do the above steps if those steps do not help please do not shoot the messenger. Please take it to a shop and have them give you a appraisal on the value of the camera and a estimate of what it would cost to fix.

In most cases it is worth the repair. Please get back with me if you have any questions or comments, Thank you for using Fixya.com "we have solutions for everything"

My l200 camara lens is stuck

huSh now :( I remember my former camera.. XD

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interferingwith the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped withthe lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens hadbeen blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with thelens extended ...

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seemto work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is outof warranty, they're worth a try:
