This is usually caused by a defective LCD module or a defective flex cable that connects the LCD to the camera. I recommend replacing them both at the same time. The LCD / Touchscreen module is no longer available from Sony at a reasonable price for this Model. However, I have a limited supply of them in stock as well as an aftermarket supplier with hundreds of them.

Touch pad on lcd screen got bad and complete lcd screen will be replaced to fix the issue, not worth to spend money. Sorry.
