I have a 50PC1DA Power Issue

I have a 50PC1DA have had it for a few years, it started failing to turn on from stand by, had to switch off at the wall and try again sometimes up to 5 times, then it started making a fairly loud cracking noise with the white light flashing before turning off and going back into standby, now it just wont come on properly, it initially comes on but after 3 seconds goes back off

Hello Junior,
This type of failures is commonly due to defective capacitors in the power supply.

SOURCE: loud cracking noise sounds like fireworks and wont get a picture

It seems you have loose or cold solder joint connection problem, causing a cracking sound. The solution is to reworks or resolder the solder joint connection in power supply section, audio section and inverter section...

Hope this may help you;

SOURCE: tv turns it self off after only 2-3 seconds and makes crack noise

Since the set is less than 1 year old, it should still be under warranty. Request warranty service.

The noise you are hearing is probably arcing inside the set on the power supply board. Continuing to attempt to turn on the set will only make things worse. Please request warranty service as this is unusual for a TV that new.

SOURCE: 42 LG plasma no picture but sound. found internal

Sounds like it started "Protection Mode" because of a failed electronic part inside the TV. When this happens, the TV will keep turning itself OFF or will not turn ON at all. This keeps the other parts inside from being damaged. Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The common part to go bad for flat panel screens circuit board that powers the screen itself. Most manufactures call it a Backlight Inverter Board.
But, I can't say what is 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptom.

You have a few choices:

1. Best thing to do, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, schematics, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $20. Its the best repair guide material for fixing TVs. And most cases the new part cost less than $15 by searching on the internet with the part number.

2. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

Pioneer PRO-FHD1 Plasma Monitor Start-Up Problem.

Based on the symptoms described, it seems that the issue with the Panasonic plasma monitor is related to failing capacitors on the Power Supply Module. The fact that heating the board with a hair dryer temporarily fixes the issue confirms this hypothesis. It's recommended to replace all the capacitors that show signs of failure or have a bulged appearance, as well as any other faulty components on the board. It's also a good idea to have an experienced technician diagnose and repair the issue to ensure proper and safe handling of the components.

Filled humidifier press on and shuts off

Hi,

please switch power outlets before attempting to power the humidifier again. Please double check that you've filled the humidifier as instructed and chosen the lowest setting at first to start. If the issue persists and the device is more than a few years old, you can request repair or replacement assistance from qvc next to help overcome this issue.

Thank you.

My tv has no power?

Let's assume your post in flat panel TV's is for an LCD TV. Since your make and model is not provided, only basic info can be provided. Most LCD TV's have a stand-by power LED that is either on or comes on when the TV switches or blinks in the event of a failure. If you don't see a light when there should be one normally, then you may have a failed stand-by power supply. The stand-by power supply provides a voltage necessary to allow you to command the tv to turn on with the remote or via the power button on the tv. If the power light is normally off and normally comes on when you use the remote to turn it on but nothing happens it can still be the stand-by power supply failed. The next level of the power control is done by a small tv micro (processor) often on a board that handles audio that tells the main power supply board to turn on. To render much technical assistance you would have to know how to take voltage readings on the PSU. If there is no SB5V you either need a PSU board or there is an issue from the AC line to the PSU. It can get complicated from there depending on the failure. I assume you know the power outlet at the wall is good and the remote battery is good and you have tried the power button on the tv to eliminate a faulty remote.

Put in gaer and dies

Some bikes have one or more safety features regarding the clutch and gear box. One feature is a micro-switch at the clutch master/lever, it tells the safety system if the clutch lever is out or in. If the switch fails the safety system will think the lever is out (allowing power to rear wheel) and kill the engine to prevent the bike from lurching forward, potentially causing the bike and rider to go down. The other feature is not as common, it is a similar switch at the side stand. This prevents the rider from starting off with the side stand down. Which can also cause the bike and rider to go down. If that switch fails then the bike will think the side stand is always down and will kill the engine as soon as it put into gear. If you know how to use a multimeter you can test the switch(s) for function and determine if it is failed. Otherwise have it checked by a competent mechanic.

There is also a recall on your bike (and many others with the same gearbox) regarding the power train. A good reason to get you bike in, fix this safety issue and your original issue.

Randomly won't start or even turn over, sometimes start fine. bouncing gauges

Yes it could be the key switch. You would need to check for power at the starter when it fails to crank. There is also a neutral safety switch in the circuit.

Hitachi 60" picture flashes on and off.

I've had the same issue although I don't unplug everything. I turn it off and then unplug it from the wall for 10 seconds then plug it back in. Seems ok after that. Has happened 4 or 5 times over the 10 years I've owned it.
