More likely to be transistors.

Check the solder joints, fuse, transistors (c5706/5707), caps and look at other Dell albums also.

Acer aspire 3610 graphic or battery problem?

It sounds like your backlight is damaged. On some units this can be replaced on its own. On others, it requires the entire LCD to be replaced. I'll see if I can find out which this is, in your case, and find you a part number.

I have a Dell Dimension 24000 that has been in storage for a year. I recently tried to boot it up so I could find a couple of files. It starts booting up; windows logo appears and shows things are loading...

try starting in safe mode.

when you power on the PC, start tapping the F8 key on your keyboard.

this will give you the option to start in safe mode and can possibly let you find out why you cannot start up.

if it does start this way, you should at least be able to retrieve the files you were looking for.

Have hp note book s/n ey349et#abu screen not working just blank

First of all the serial number does not help identify the model of your computer, Second, when does the screen go blank? From initial start up, after it starts up? Is the screen illuminated or dark? Please understand that since I can't see you computer you must give me more, rather than less, information to help you.

V570 Dual Lens, will not switch to ordinary lens.

Hi, My V570 works fine on widescreen lens (the default on startup) but when I zoom up to switch to the other lens it goes to a dark blank screen and will take a similarly dark blank picture. I can hear the zoom activating as I click it so I think that is ok. I opened the camera

Screen on Toshiba M35x S149 Laptop blank/flickers

Ok, from the beginning. Can you do a cold boot and get into the bios? (is there an image on the screen then)
Secondly, can you connect to an external monitor and see an image?
Did it do this only when it was heading in to hibernation? If so, it sounds like the power management needs some adjustment.
If there's no image on the external monitor, you may have a video/motherboard problem, or it still could be the operating system/power management.
It all depends on if you have video in bios.
Let me know.
Good luck

Screen on Toshiba M35x S149 Laptop blank/flickers

this can be caused by many reasons, here are some that comes to my mind: 1. bad connection between computer and screen, usually an easy one, but since its a laptop, you cannot change cable, so you will have to take it to the lab. anyway, if it is the problem, fixing it should be cheap. 2. in order to make sure it is "only" a faulty monitor, connect the laptop with another monitor, I dont know the exact function in this specific model, but as long as it has an video output, it can be done. 3. it is posible that backlight invertor has short circuit and should be replaced. this one can cost up to several hundred dollars, so be prepered. hope this helps.
