If you hit the reset button on your router you can restore it to factory defaults. then, you can log into the default IP address of your router and change the password to what you want. This is the only way to change it- being able to change your password without having the old one would be a GLARING security hole. If you update your question with the model # of your belkin I can find the manual online. It will list the default IP address, username and password that you will need to access it after the reset.

looks like the reset button is right under the antenna on the back and to the left of the dc plug.

    Restoring the Factory Defaults

Press and hold the “Reset” button for at least 10 seconds,

then release it. The lights on the Router will momentarily

flash. The Power/Ready light will begin to blink. When the

Power/Ready light becomes solid again, the restore

    is complete.

once that's done you can login by typing 192.168.2.1 into the address bar of your browser. the default login info is Username: Administrator and Password:

this site should also be of some assistance

I have a Belkin router Model F5D7234-4U5. Purchased a nook tablet. When I try to connect to router a screen message on nook requests a passcode to router. Where do I find this passcode?

1. From your computer that is already connected to the router, open the browser (internet explorer or firefox).

2. In the address bar type in http://192.168.2.1 which is the Belkin router's ip address and hit enter

3. In the left hand side under 'wireless' click on 'security'

4. If it prompts you for a password, leave the password blank and click on submit.

5. There you'll find the security key

6. If the security mode is wep, you'll find it under 'key1'

7. If the security mode is wpa, you'll fine under "psk" (uncheck the box 'obscure psk')

8. Note: the password is case sensitive.

I can not remember my Wi Fi password and can not access internet .... please help me ... I have to create one that worked Wi Fi

If you mean you can't remember your WEP/WPA passcode then that can be fixed by accessing the compute through a lan line (ethernet) and just reconfigure it for a new passcode. If you mean you can't remember the code TO the router then you can always press the reset button on the back of the device for ~5 sec and reset it that way. A lot of standard (factory setting) passcodes are password with a login of admin

Bought a new laptop. Forgot the security pin of my belkin wireless router F5D7234. Unable to connect wordlessly. Is there any way I can fix this problem?

Yes you can reset your router to factory defaults. You should find a little hole on back of unit near the power plug hole.

Insert a straighten paperclip while power is on. Hold it for about 10 seconds. After that, unplug power on your modem and the router. Plug back the power on the MODEM FIRST and wait 1 min. Then plug back the power on your router. Wait about 20 sec and the internet should be ok now.

If you still have the setup CD, go ahead making your setup and choose a new passcode. If you don't have it you can email me and I will guide you with manual access to your router settings.

I have forgot my passcode to connect my laptop to the wireless connection, where can i locate it?

Either you can find the passcode by login into Wirless Router or reset the password from Wireless Router itself.

There is no internet working with the Belkin G wireless Router

How do you have your connection set up? Normally, your modem connects to the router, and router to computers, this is how yours is set up? Since your router is wireless-capable, just make sure that your laptop has its wireless turned on and you have the router's "Wireless" set up, name (SSID) is done, security method chosen. I like WEP-PSK[TKIP] for its simplicity, keeping in mind that all logins to your network will need this passcode as well.

Accidently made my belkin router secured to just one computer

When there is another computer in your house and have also wireless lan connection.
Automatically can detect your Belkin Wireless Router with Name of it. But they are going to enter a passcode so that they can access the internet. And knows you have the passcode access to the router.
That's very easy because wireless lan obtain & detected network available on the area.
Hope this idea can help to you.

Obtaining passcode

The easiest way around a lost passcode is to reset the router to factory specs. You will normally find a reset switch on the rear of the router closest to the power connector. You will probably need a paper clip or similiar object since most are resessed to avoid accidental resets.

We have a belkin g router but it is not connecting to the ps3 so that we can go live

The problem is likely your wireless settings on the router don't match the PS3 settings.

do you have any other wireless devices connected to wifi?

Do you have security enabled on the router? If you, make sure you set up the PS3 with the correct protocol and the passcode.
