My washer worked perfectly until I moved. After it was hooked up in my new place (by a moving guy) it now shakes terribly during the rinse and spin cycle, even if contents are distributed properly inside. I have to sit on it during the cycle for it to finish without it thumping violently. Could something have been shaken loose during the move?
The Guide Plate underneath is out of alignment,, You might have to call me on this one. The only reason I am sure of this is because when my delivery guys would deliver a direct drive washer such as your, sometimes when the machine is laid down to far on its side, it gets out of alignment. Easy fix,, Just hard to explain.

my washer has started to walk during spin cycles
I have a Kenmore washer 22952 when it is in the spin cycle it bangs hard and is loud, like it is out of balance but the cothes are not to heavy on any side.
Have you checked to see if the washer is level? It must be level side-to-side and front-to-back. If the heading you used is correct and the this is a Kenmore series top loading washer, the rear legs on this model SHOULD be auto adjusting and can become unadjusted during moving. Check the level of the washer and post back to me. It's not normal to sit on washer to keep it from moving. This can also cause damage to the lid switch.
