Brother Intellifax 770 fax machine failure to receive faxes

I HAVE A BROTJERS 770 AMD ALL I DONE WAS GET A 2 SPACE TELE JACK AND PLUG IT INTO MY MODEM FROM COMCAST AND PLUG MY PHONE AND FAX INTO IT AND CAN RECEIVE AND SEND

Kevin A: I want to point out the so called digital phone lines is misleading advertising since the traditional PTSN system has been digitized years ago. The big telco boxes on the street down town is where all the digital conversion of the calls happens. The Comcast box they install effectivly does the same thing as the big telco box does, so that analog phones work. As far as the modem in the fax machine is concerned, it is receiving an analog signal because Comcast's box provides it. I think IMHO some people complain it doesn't work because it's something different like network congestion on Comcast's local network or something else. People should be able to call support for non working faxes; I think it's a perfectly valid reason.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to use this machine with a digital phone line. It is only capable of receiving an analog signal, and cannot distinguish the digital incoming signal. You would be better off using a service to send and receive faxes via e-mail, or getting a digital fax machine. Sorry.
