My guess is that the right side of the t-con board/LCD control unit if failing. this board controls video drive on screen 2 processors on the circuit 1 for right the other for left. if this does not fix then the problem is going to be the display it-self which is not cost effective to repair. Hope this helps some.

Also before replacing anything clean all ribbon cables between main board and lcd control unit and between the lcd control and panel.

can clean with pencil eraser. board location

main unit - circuit to the left or middle usually have inputs on it.
LCD control- top and center with 2-4 ribbons leaving the top and going to the screen.

hope this helps.

Sony bravia kdl-46Xbr4 right side of screen is darker until the tv warms up flickers like a floresent bulb and is a brownish color

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Tow possibilities. [1] The LVDS cable (the flat cable that connects between T'Con and LCD panel) loose contact at its connection sockets. Re-insert this very carefully, and check. [2] Fault to T'Con board itself. If so it should be replaced. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Faults & possible causes to LCD screen are given with illustrations. You can get an idea about the fault to an extent.

I have a 46 inch Sony Bravia 46 XBR4 set. The right side went out only colored lines appear. The rest of the screen is fine. email address [email protected].

Sounds like the tcon (timing control) board. Sometimes unplugging the LVDS cables from the tcon, cleaning and reconnecting solves this. The catches on the LVDS cables are easily damaged and must be handled carefully.

Horizontal lines in sony Bravia 26"

You need to replace IC8C01 and IC8C02 part# STK394-250. They are located on the main board (in the middle of the chassis) and are mounted on a large aluminum heat sink.

Sony Bravia XBR 40" LCD

First, HORIZONTAL CENTER.
1) Press MENU.
2) Scroll to SETTINGS.
3) Scroll to SCREEN.
4) Go to HORIZONTAL CENTER. Move the picture to the right. Hopefully, the line will go away. Otherwise, there is a problem with the pixels or the signal processor. Call 1-800-222-SONY. Or, http://eservice.sony.com. Have a high-limit credit card handy for out of warranty repairs. Sorry about that.
