Remove all the 13 screws from the bottom. Remove the Battery and 3 more screws from the battery bay. There's another one in the corner under the Fan cover and you'll find two more when you pull out the CD-ROM Drive. Total: 19.
Now turn the whole thing around and extract the keyboard. It is snapped into 4 tiny "claws" at the spacebar side. Positions: below the Fn-key, below the middle between the ALT-key and it's neighbour to the right, below the ALT-GR key and below the cursor-down key. If you can't see them you can feel them either with your finger nails or with a knife. Push them towards yourself, i. e. towards the front side of the laptop, and carefully lift the keyboard either with your finger nails or a knife. Remove the metal shield and unlock the wedge connectors to release the flat cables of touchpad and keyboard and take the keyboard aside.
Now close the cover and unsnap the hinge covers from the rear side. Don't lift, just unsnap. Then open the Cover wide and lift the hinge covers carefully from rear to front. Use a knife if the center area won't unsnap voluntarily. Watch out for the frontside hooks, as they break off easily.
Release the 2 display connectors and the hinges (2 rear and 2 top screws) and remove the cover. Now we have only about 12 screws left to remove.
IMPORTANT:
Put all screws next to their original locations and make photos or a drawing. A long screw in the wrong place can go right through your mobo!!! If in doubt always use the SHORTEST screw that will fit.
Replace all the 1500µF capacitors that show the even slightest swellings on top. Use Ultra Low ESR type caps, like Rubycon MBZ.
Any more questions?
Good Luck!
