The F3 code keeps coming on with a beeping sound on my G.E. sensor microwave oven model number JES1456WFC001 1100 watts.

Control displaying F3 E0:

There may be a problem with the Oven Temperature Sensor, or the associated wiring.

Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.

Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).

Monitor the oven for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.

Verify oven operation.

Possibly a sensor error.
There is a temperature sensor that is giving the wrong voltage to the control panel.

F3 means that a contact is shorted on the control panel. Replacement contact panel required I think.

Key panel (touch pad) shorted This code will occur if a shorted key panel is detected
continuously over 60 seconds. Replace key panel (also called touch
pad).

F3 on a GE / Hotpoint microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

If and when an oven is coming on or doing anything by itself, this is very dangerous and can result in a fire.

So until it is repaired, please leave it unplugged or leave the door open when it's not in use, and please do not leave it running unattended.

my ge microwave oven model HVM1540LMICS reads "LOCKED", how do I unlock?

The error code F3 indicates an oven sensor problem. The oven sensor is most likely the failed part. The oven sensor probe must have the correct resistance readings at specific temperatures. When the electronic range control (ERC) cannot identify the correct resistance of the oven sensor or the resistance is way out of specs F3 will display.
I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your oven.

microwave quits working and F3 comes up on the readout - along with a series of beeps - pressing any of the buttons on the touchpad does nothing - The F3 stays there and beeps intermittently

If it's a GE model, F3 will mean a shorted key panel.
