How do I print an envelope on my Canon MP510?

Envelopes must be fed from the Auto Sheet Feeder. Use either European DL or US Comm. Env. #10-sized envelope.
Important :
  • You need to print from the computer to print on envelopes.
  • Do not use envelopes with embossed or treated surfaces, a double flap, pressure seals, or sticker flaps.
  • Select either DL Env. or Comm. Env. #10 in the printer driver according to the envelope size you are using. If you do not, the address will be printed in the wrong direction.

loadingenvsdiag.gif
1 : Retract the Paper Support.

2 : Load the envelope against the Cover Guide (the right side of the Paper Support).
Load with the front face UP and the rear flaps DOWN on the left.
A maximum of 10 envelopes can be loaded at once.
*1 Printing orientation
*2 Make sure the flaps are folded.
Important : Make sure that the Cover Guide is set upright.

3 : Pinch the Paper Guide and slide it against the left side of the envelope.

4 : Press the Paper Feed Switch so that the Auto Sheet Feeder lamp lights up.

5 : Set the Paper Thickness Lever to the right.

In the printer driver, select 'Envelope' in Media Type, and then select 'DL Env'. or 'Comm. Env. #10' in Page Size.

How do I print 8-1/2" x 14" paper. I only have one 8-1/2" x 11" tray? Konica Minolta Magicolor 5430DL

On the 5430 DL there is an aux legal tray that can be purchased for legal printing. On a later successor the 5550 a manual feed option was included, however for the 5430 there is no option for printing legal without the extra tray being installed. On a side note, I have this tray and when not printing legal it lets me load an extra 500 sheets of letter paper which is very convenient when I need to print a bunch of sheets overnight.

Magicolor 5430 dl doesn't print magenta

Please check your magenta cartridge if they are properly installed.

Make sure that your magenta cartridge are not empty.

Make sure that you are using the original konika minolta cartridge and not just a refill one or replacement one.

Can't print DL envelopes on a Pixma iP4600

Hi ...

If you like to print DL envolopes, check the below 3 points and I am sure you will be able to print from your printer.

Prepare the printer:
  1. Open the Rear Tray and pull out the Paper Support. Put your finger in the rounded indent of the Paper Support and pull it out until it stops. (See <1> in Figure 1 below.)

  2. Open the Paper Output Tray. Put your finger in the rounded indent beside the Paper Output Tray and open it gently. (See <2> in Figure 1 below.)

  3. Open the Output Tray Extension. Open up and set the Output Tray Extension completely by pressing down the hollow on its front side. (See <3> in Figure 1 below.)

  4. Adjust the position of the Paper Thickness Lever. Set it to the right when printing on envelopes or T-shirt transfers, and left when printing on any other type of paper. (See <4> in Figure 1 below.)

Preparing Envelopes to Load:
  1. Press down firmly on the edges of the envelopes to make the folds crisp. Also, press firmly on the area that corresponds to the edges of the back flap.

  2. Remove any curling by holding the edges diagonally and bending them gently.

When I print enveloppes with my Konica 2430DL, I get shadows, but not on other print jobs

When you look at an envelope, it has spots where there are 2 to 4 thickness of paper in spots.( folds of the envelope) If this is where your shadows are, and your printer does not have any settings for envelopes, your printer may not be able to print those types of envelpes. You might try a lighter and thiner envelope.

Printing envelopes

Open a MS Word Document, select 'Tools' then 'Letters and mailings' then 'Envelopes and labels...'

Envelopes and Lables dialogue box opens - ensure you are on the 'envelopes' tab

Then type your recipient address in the larger white box

for standard letter envelope (DL 220m x 110mm) - Insert envelope into Brother HL-2030 manual feed, with print side up, gummed flaps down and to the left side (bring gray plastic guides in close to secure).

Then select print.

I have found that during the feed, one end of the envelope gets a little bit crumpled but overall it's still a little bit more professional looking than my handwriting.

Printing Envelopes

Be sure you have set the PRNIT PREFFERENCES on your program that you are using to print the envelope to accept a #10 envelope and not 8.5x11 paper, you ALSO must set the PRINTER PREFERNECE to MANUAL FEED and not automatic so it won't look to the paper tray.
