Our flat screen will not turn on. This started a few days ago and could be fixed by unplugging the tv for a few minutes. Now that doesnt work. When turned on, the blue light flickers then goes away all together. We have also noticed a buzzing sound..
There is not a good solution. If you read about the Polaroid 37" LCD HDTV, you have a problem and it's the same one that many of us have. According to Polaroid's service center, the control box needs to be replaced. Polaroid does not stand by this product. The company gives you a lot of lip service about how many they sell and how few problems they have - they're lying. The TV's should be recalled and I'd suggest you join many of us to demand it. Write BBB, write the company where you bought the TV, write any consumer group you can think of - Polaroid TV's are junk. Sorry you've got one. Sounded like a good deal and Polaroid used to manufacture quality - no more.

We have the exact same problem. Our tv will not come on. We unplugged it and plugged it back in to get it going a few times, but now it doesn't turn on at all. I also noticed that when we turn it on, the red light changes to blue like it's supposed to, and then flashes. We also had the buzzing sound. I can't wait to find out what the problem is!!!
I have the same problem on our Polaroid 37 in LCD tv. Can't get it to turn on. Would like to hear of any solution to this.
TV will not turn on or off by remote, plus you have to turn TV on by killing the power to the TV all together.
Also have an out line of man's face in the lower right hand conner of TV.
