My Tomtom XL displays everything in spanish, but speaks in english. I can't find a menu to change these settings.What can I do?

You will have to check 2 settings. First one. Tap on the screen. Tap on change preferences. Tap on the arrow 3 times. You should be on page Preferences 4 of 6 by now. Tap on change language. Tap on English US. Tap on Yes.
Second one: Tap on the screen. Tap on change preferences. Tap on the arrow once (You should be on Preferences 2 of 6 by now. Tap on change voice. Select a voice which has English US after the name. Test and select. Go through voice preferences. Tap Done.

When you log in to your account in the upper right hand side you should see an icon that appears to be a gear. See image:
3_19_2013_12_18_56_am.png Click this image and from the drop down menu you should see an option for Configuracion (Spanish for Settings) the first option available is the Gmail display language. Select English and then the link to the right which is the Change Language selection.

How do you set device in english, mine is in Spanish?
  1. Download English manual here.
  2. Tap the screen to bring up the Main Menu.
  3. Tap 'Change Preferences' icon (it has different name under it in Spanish, but you can view the icon itself at page 8 of the manual).
  4. Tap 'Show all menu options' icon (page 33 of the manual)
  5. Tap 'Change language' icon (page 36).

My tomtom is programmed to an English address. I have now moved to Spain. I can now get Spanish maps and roads, but I change the English address to my new address in Spain. How do I do this please?
Go into the settings in the menu and you will see an option for changing your "Home" location. This is what you need to do.

Spanish can I change it to English
Touch center of screen to menu. Touch lower right arrow until you see an icon with three flags. It will then show you a list of languages.

My tomtom is in spanish and need to change to english
1) Use the translation service at:

http://ets.freetranslation.com/

to give you some idea of what the menu options are so you can change the language back to English.

OR

2) Look at the manual and work out how you do a hard reset and then you can start over and select English.
