Treadmill works just fine for me. i am 100 pounds, my husband got on and it went out of control and he was trying to regulate it and had to get off. We have tried several times. It works for me not for him. He weighs 180. The treadmill is 3 years old

Hi Adrian, All a treadmill is... is a motor, running belt and console display pad. You'll find the console display pad has malfunctioned.... This can happen when something heavy is placed on it OR something hits it and if yours is under warranty then get it fix as soon as possible mate, I had a problem with my console display pad and it cost me $100 just for the pad....... My treadmill is a different brand but I can tell you the motor and running belt will last and last and last.....I hope this helps.........CHEERS..

I will answer my own problem here, maybe it will help someone else. After BH North America customer service told me I needed a new lower control board and I had to spend $100+, it wasn't the board. Then they said it was the speed sensor, they sent that out for free, that wasn't it. Now, they would not respond to me. So, we went off the troubleshooting guide saying it was a connection problem between the upper and lower board. My husband opened up the "leg" of the treadmill and checked the connections (cutting the tie cords that hold the wires tightly in place, maybe too tightly and that's what caused them to come unplugged) and now the belt runs! So, BH got another 100 dollars of my money, on top of the original $800 and solved nothing and then ignored my emails. Horrible customer service and when this one finally bites the dust, I will never purchase a machine from them again. P.S. This treadmill is only approx. 2 yrs old.

A new battery will more than likely allow you to use the machine, but the lighter weight is not recharging the battery correctly. I would suggest replacing the battery and possibly adding an external charger. Repair Parts for Stairmaster Equipment Batteries Springs Belts Chains...

You have to check the Driver circuit board for the motor. There is motor control IGBT Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) in this board .If the IGBT is short then the treadmill will try to run at high speed without setting any value or witout pressing the start button and will shut down . You have to check the OHMS between the seocnd and third of lead of the IGBT. If it shows less than 100 Ohms then the IGBT is short and you have to replace the same. Also you have to check the connection to the control pannel. Is there is any loose conatct. Remove the connection in the motor control board which go to the control pannel and reconnect it. Also check the speed sensor. In most of the treadmill you can find the speed sensor near the motor pully. Remove the speed sensor and clean it and the refix it. Remember one thing remove the power of the treadmill and leave it for 30 minutes then only oppen the treadmill. Because there is high voltage storage capacitors in the motor control board which will hold charge for some time even after the power is disconnected. i have added the picture of IGBT for your refference.

That treadmill has to be calibrated upon replacement of controller. Contact the place were you bougth controller and request calibration procedure. Hope this helps.
