did you hook up the power antenna or amp. turn On wire? make sure you should ha a wire that is to power an antenna and this is the wire that has 12 volts as soon you turn On your stereo and send 12 volts to your amp. but if you don't connect this wire, the amp will never turns On
Fortec is a Clone of the Pantec System and is being phazed out. All recievers using the De-Scramble (Keys) Method will now not work.
They will, but will require additional software in the months/years to come.
I have a Fortec/Vortex myself and a pansat 2700A... :)
you have to connect you HBS box to reciever via female-female cable that comes with it.. then attach HBS box to your DSL modem using ethernet cable.. you can then update your reviever by pressing 9906 by your remote control ... but unfortuanetly, the server is down there days .. you can alternatively enter your cades manually by pressing 8282...
To my knowledge all satellite receivers uses a dish antenna which is actually just a reflector. The actual antenna is incorporated inside an LNB (Low Noise Block downconverter). If you have already such a unit, then the issue might just be alignment.
This page displays some dish antennas as well illustrative alignment procedures.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
