Acer Aspire netbook integrated cam. Message from Skype.. not installed Nothing in Control Panel Scanners and Cameras but is listed in Add/Remove software Was working 2 weeks ago

Check with Acer or your carrier. Skype has also changed things around due to updates.

go to control panel...
click clock,language and region...
then go to keyboard and language tab...
click change keyboards.....
on the general tab...
look for english(united states) US on the add/remove keyboard list..
then press apply then press ok...
now the last step is restart ur netbook...

Click on Start>>Settings>>Control Panel. Under the Control Panel, double click on Scanners and Cameras. This should give you the executable to launch the camera. You can right click on this, and choose to send a shortcut to your desktop, so it is easier to open the next time.

Integrated Acer Crystal Eye webcam in Acer 5534 varies by model, you have Acer5534-1096 this model dot have webcam.

First: Check if the device is installed and working properly - My Computer-(right click)-Manage-Device Manager - be sure there is nothing wrong in "Sound, video and Game Controllers" section.
If there is something wrong, you will see it immediately, then fix it.
If in that section all is OK, then
1) go to Acer FTP site and get Realtek driver there (ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/netbook/aspire_one_150/driver/Audio_Realtek_v.5.10.0.5772.zip).
2) Uninstall running Realtek driver using Control Panel and reboot.
3) When XP after reboot will ask for driver installation, just cancel this and install Realtek driver downloaded.
4) Check with Skype your voice recording and enjoy.
All this is valid if you do not have your microphone physically broken. Tested by myself - I had the same situation.

Have you tried control panel, cameras and scanners open find your webcam then uninstall it..then add new hardware change administrator go to control panel ,add users delete yourself then add create pw then you should be the only admin...fingeres crossed lol

First uninstall cam driver from add remove program or device manager.

Then install again.

If you havent cam driver then downlao0d from below link and install.

Acer aspire has inbuilt web camera and therefore will work only if the correct drivers are installed. Please uninstall the drivers first from control/panel/add remove programs. Next reboot the system and then go ahead with the installation.
