Acer Aspire X1700 clock needs to be reset every day

You need to change the battery (normally a CR-2032 - which is available everywhere).

Unplug the computer, remove the cover, and set it down with the motherboard facing up. Look in the corners for a battery holder and the battery (it may be under a PCI card - which you will have to remove before changing the battery). When you locate the battery, very carefully remove it and replace it with the new battery. Replace all parts (seating the boards correctly) and button up you computer. Re-install the cables and turn it on.

My latptop's internal clock getting problem after some days its reset to year 2002.

The CMOS battery is responsible for the internal clock. If it automatically resets itself to 2002 (motherboard manufacturing date) then you need to have it replaced (it's really cheap to have it replaced).

Where is the location of the Cmos battery for my

You really need a service manual to try & locate the CMOS battery. With laptops the CMOS battery can be different on each model. These are often located on the motherboard below the keyboard, but a service manual should help you.

CMOS Battery location/image for Acer Aspire 5610

The CMOS battery is located on the motherboard. You would almost have to take the complete thing apart before you find it. You would be better off downloading password recovery software like OphCrack. It's free as an .iso file so you would just burn it to a disc and it will find the password for you.

Pls rate this solution.

Acer Aspire 5100-5840 USB Problems

Is your laptop still under warranty? I would go to the manufacturer first if it is.
If not:
the system clock is run by the CMOS battery. When low will cause a host of problems. Change it and let me know if this fixes your problem.
