Won't power on

Brand new unit turns on and then shows '00000009' and a picture of the power switch icon in a pink background. It makes a faint beeping sound and nothing else happens. I have unplugged it several times and the same thing happens. Thanks for some help!

When turning my printer on it makes all the normal start up noises, but takes a very long time to start up. Once it does it shows a pink screen with the power symbol. It then shows 00000003 at the bottom of the screen.

I have seen this could be a power problem but it does this no matter where we plug it into, we have tried various houses aswell!

Sounds like it's showing a bad power situation...maybe the outlet is not too good?

My dmctz3 Panasonic camera is shoeing everything in pink and driving me nuts. It used to set itself out by switching off and back on. It is refusing to do that now. Any idea anyone please? Many thanks

there is problem with the switch that turns the camera on and play mode.
take out the batteries use the switch back and forth several times then try again with the batteries in.
it should run and if it continues then take it to the service centre for servicing. that is what it needs

My ps3 turns on and shows the wavy background for the home menu screen but no menu icons show up. Nothing on the controller changes anything and icons never come up. The wavy colored background is there...

This problem is because your PS3 software has become corrupt. The following steps will cure the problem but you will lose saved games and all other data. Your trophies will not be affected as these are stored by the Playstation Network.
Step 1. Turn your PS3 onto standby (Red light on)
Step 2. Press and hold the power button. It will beep as soon as you press it, beep 5 seconds later then beep once more 5 seconds later and then turn back to standby. Release the power button.
Step 3. Press and hold the power button again. It will beep when you first press it, beep again 5 seconds later and then beep twice quickly. Let go of the power button as soon as you hear these two beeps.
Step 4. The PS3 will start up asking you to plug in a controller with a USB cable and press the PS button. Do this and it will boot into the recovery menu.
Step 5. Choose option 5 (Restore PS3 system). This will re-install the PS3 software and restart the console.
Step 6. When the PS3 restarts you will be asked to enter the time and date and other information. When the setup is complete your PS3 will boot into the home menu normally.

Hope this helps

Nuvi 205w screen won't light- any ideas? it's brand new and fully charged. I can tell it's on, because it generates sounds when I touch the screen.

If you can't see anything then it is a hardware issue. Return for replacement as soon as possible.

If you can see faint images in the background then your screen is just too dim. You will have to try to navigate the dim screen to the settings menu. Click on the Tools icon, bottom right of main screen. Click on "settings" then "display". Select brightness and adjust.

One other suggestion is try an update. Plug the unit into your PC and run garmin webupdater. Once done the screen may light up but its a long shot. Here is the webupdater link.

Power BOX supply cord problem or hardrive problem?

Check these settings first. In a clear spot on the screen where no icons are, right click and go to properties, box opens and at top should list from R to L, themes-desktop-screensaver-appearance-advanced. click on screensaver, close to bottom click on power, another box should open, click on power schemes, make sure it's set to portable/laptop, and at bottom make sure settings for plugged in are are set to never. If it's not that then you have a bad power supply cord, or a bad power supply unit in laptop. If it's new and under warranty take it in and have replaced if not warrantied then will cost you about 100-150, just a guess!! hope this helps. But it sounds like the supply cord making the beeping noise might be bad. Make sure it's plugged all the way in as well.

Problem with picture

If you turn the unit off and hold down the power on the unit for 3-5 seconds it should beep and show the picture. This will reset the output settings and it should work fine. This is what I have been seeing in other forums.
