The second hand on my watch sticks at the 'quarter to' position. I have had the battery tested and it is at full power. Any ideas.

Second hand not moving

You shouldn't be running the chronograph timing all the time.

Second hand does not go to 12 when pulled out. I just had new battery put in and now the second hand goes to between 6-7 and on the 8 on two watches

I had the same problem. I pulled the crown to the 3rd position, furthest out, and pressed the A and B button simultaneously. The second hand made a complete rotation and set at the 8 position, where it had been settting, then I was able to push the A button and reset the second hand to the 12 position. Tested it and it is working fine.

The hour hand on my tag chronograph does not stop at 12 when you reset the chronograph

Try pulling out the crown to the first position. Then push upper and lower button simultaneously. The red stick will start moving 1 second per push. Repeat procedure until it reaches zero position, then push back the crown to the normal position.

Cannot open the battery compartment on my suunto x6 without breaking it....any ideas?

  • Turn the Suunto over to view the backside. Insert the quarter in the coin slot located on the battery compartment cover. Turn the coin counterclockwise to the "Open" position marked on the back of the case.
  • Remove the battery compartment cover. Remove the old battery from the battery compartment. Make sure the o-ring and all surfaces are clean, dry and not damaged. Do not stretch the o-ring!
  • Place the new battery into the battery compartment (negative side down, positive side up). Make sure the o-ring is in its place, as to keep the Suunto waterproof. Place the battery compartment cover back onto the backside of the watch.
  • Insert the quarter back into the coin slot and turn the coin clockwise to the "Close" position marked on the back of the case.

  • If this doesnt work take to a jeweler who has tools.

Sweep second hand sticking on colibri pocket watch. How can I correct. I just had battery replaced.

mcdevito75 here, This is a very common problem easily fixed, when the battery was change the repair prerson could have interfered with the seconds hand bending it ever so slightly so it hits the other hands or it became loose, return to the person who changed the battery, they"ll take the back off and fix that seconds hand. Remember this may be no ones fault so I don"t know about any extra charges for service on your watch. This is just my info to you.

(cj1110.ba0576) Wrist Watch: the second hand on my tag watch is sticking for a ...

you don't have to change battery, as it was still at the right time. There might be some other reason that your watch behave like that. A test on the capacitor of your watch is needed, if this still strong then i suggest you should have your watch General Overhauled by a technician.

Cant set the second hand to move

The "second" hand on this watch is not actually a 'sweep' second hand, as on other watches.
This is a timer dial. ["Stopwatch 1/5 Second Hand"]
To start/stop this, use the top button (Button "A").
To reset this dial to 12 O'clock, use Button "B", after first stopping it with Button "A".
The "second" hand is the small dial at the 9 O'clock position.
In actuality, you 'could' start this and just not stop it...  Then it would function as a "large second hand". That would be up to the owner. (it might use more battery power though... ?)

I HAVE AN E377 RF WATCH THAT HAS DEVELOPED A PROBLEM. THE DIGITAL DISPLAY OF THE TIME IS SHOWING CORRECTLY BUT THE HANDS ARE SLOW BY 2HRS 20MINS. ACCORDING TO THE JEWELLER, THE BATTERY HAS PLENTY OF...

You need to remove the battery in order to stop the watch. You may have to short the watch's battery terminals after battery removal to discharge the internal capacitor, or just wait until it stops. Next you need to align all of the hands to the 12 O'Clock position. Follow the instruction booklet to do this, by pressing S1(top right button) and holding it until the watch starts to race forward (all 3 hands will move) then you can release it. When the hands reach approx. 11:59, press S1 again to halt the speeding motion. Now be very patient and make brief presses of S1 to advance the hands by one second at a time, until the watch shows all 3 hands at the 12 O'Clock position. When you have achieved this press S4 (Lower left button) for 1 second to confirm. (tedious beyond question)

After the LCD display switches on, set the time zone as instructed in the instruction booklet.
If auto synchronisation doesn't work and the watch moves to 12:03 or thereabouts, then carry out a manual sync, by following the instructions under 'Manual Signal Reception', or wait until the next auto update at 3am.

Let me know if you need any further help.

The second hand of my Tissot watch T870/970 starts and stops.

    Hello!
Absolutely astonished by this "solution" from escapement.
This watch is working perfectly - it is simply giving its "end of battery life warning".
