Hi,
The top burner grates are designed to handle direct heat in excess of self clean temperatures.
You can put the grates in to the oven during self clean... but it will not clean them. The baked on residue needs some chemical reaction to break down the reside on them. I would suggest soaking them in an oven cleaner like easy off. Spray them down good then using rubber gloves put them into a plastic garbage bag, spray them again in the bag and close it up. Let them sit and soak for an hour or so then wash them off. This is best done outside so the odors will not be in the home in an enclosed area.
Good Morning friend, thank you for your post!
I understand that your Frigidaire range is not allowing you to cancel and you are unable to use the oven. I would suggest holding down the "Cancel/Clear" button for ten seconds and that should cancel the self-cleaning. If that does not work I would recommend a reset on your range, you can do that by flipping off the household circuit breaker for ten minutes. I hope this has been helpful. -Matt
Hello Brian Pelletier, thanks for your inquiry!
I understand that you are having issues with your door not locking upon using the self-clean feature. It sounds like a possible issue with your EOC (Electronic Oven Control) or dock latch assembly. I would suggest unplugging your range if possible or flipping you breaker for ten minutes to perform reset. If the light continues to flash you may want to seek assistance from a professional for proper diagnosis and repair. -Matt
