How to disable the Windows XP Splash Screen / logo at startup ?
To disable the Windows XP splash screen (logo) at startup, and to see the list of drivers loading at startup, follow these steps:
Click Start, Run and type MSCONFIG
Click the Boot.ini tab
Under Operating Systems section, select the appropriate entry and then enable the /SOS switch in the Boot Options section below
Click OK and close MSCONFIG utility.
The corresponding entry in the Boot.ini file is automatically added. Example given below:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(5)\WINDOWS="XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
becomes
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(5)\WINDOWS="XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /sos
The /sos parameter displays the names of the drivers as they load during the boot process. Use when startup fails (while loading drivers) to determine which driver is failing to load. See Boot Parameter Reference for more information.
Also see /noguiboot parameter, which can also disable the splash screen.

i want to change my monitor colour temperature

When you use the Colors window to select colors for text or objects in a document, you can also assign a color profile to the document. Color profiles help ensure that the colors you see in the document onscreen match the colors in the document when it's printed or viewed on another computer.
To choose a color profile for a document:
  1. In your document, select the text or object whose color you want to change.
  2. Open the Colors window.
In some applications, you can open the Colors window by choosing Format > Font > Show Colors or Format > Show Colors. In some applications, you can also click a button in the application's toolbar or a settings pane.
  3. Click the Color Sliders button.
  4. Choose a slider option from the pop-up menu.
  5. Drag the sliders or enter specific values to adjust the color.
  6. Click the colored box next to the pop-up menu and choose a profile from the list.
If you open your document and the colors appear in a different shade or hue than you expected, the application you're using might not recognize color profiles. Try using the generic color profiles instead.
In some cases, an application may not open documents that use non-generic color profiles.
You can create your own custom color profiles using ColorSync Utility. For more information, open ColorSync Utility and choose Help > ColorSync Utility Help.

Printer A10922 will only print in black. Color cartridge renewed 1 year ago and has been working well.

  1. Check that your color cartridge/toner is not empty or blocked.
This is the least likely cause of the problem, but an important check to make. Most color printer drivers and/or software provide functions to verify alignment and color output. Consult your manual or open your printer driver by clicking Start : Settings : Printers and right-click on your printer's icon and select Properties. 'Browse' the Properties dialog for options that perform system checks.
  2. Look for a 'Print only Black and White' option.
Open your printer driver's Properties dialog (see above) and look for a color option that uses black only. Uncheck it or select an option that enables color. Some color printers have different resolutions for color and black-and-white (usually higher resolution in black-and-white). Some applications (not Origin) will force a printer to use a quality mode that affects this option, and if the resolution is forced to its highest the color output may be disabled.
  3. Enable gray scale printing.
Some combinations of printers and operating system versions can lead to a miscommunication between Origin and a printer driver. Under these circumstances, Origin may 'think' it is dealing with a black-and-white printer when it is actually using a color printer. Beginning with 6.1, the Origin Print dialog displayed one of two messages depending on the print capabilities read by Origin:
    1. Enable color as gray scale
This check box displays for color printers
    2. Use simplified colors
This check box displays for black-and-white printers
If you are seeing the first checkbox and you are using a color printer, then checking the box should tell Origin to send all color information and let the printer handle any conversions that may come up. In earlier versions of Origin there was a rather cryptic "Print color on black and white printers" checkbox which did the same thing.
