I'm using a HTC Legend and would like to sync it with my IS-800 but the phone can't seem to find the headset. I thought bluetooth headsets were more or less universal. Is there anything i can do?

• For you to listen to music with your headset or car kit, the headset or car kit must support the A2DP Bluetooth profile.
• Before you connect your headset, you need to make it discoverable so HTC Wildfire S can find it. You can find out how to do this by referring to your headset manual.

1. From the Home screen, press , and then tap Settings > Wireless & networks.
2. Tap Bluetooth settings.
3. If the Bluetooth check box is not selected, select it to turn Bluetooth on.
4. Make sure that the headset is discoverable.
5. Tap Scan for devices. HTC Wildfire S will start to scan for Bluetooth devices within range.
6. When you see the name of your headset displayed in the Bluetooth devices section, tap the name. HTC Wildfire S then automatically tries to pair with the headset.
7. If automatic pairing fails, enter the passcode supplied with your headset.

The pairing and connection status is displayed below the hands-free headset or car kit name in the Bluetooth devices section. When the Bluetooth headset or car kit is connected to HTC Wildfire S, the Bluetooth connected icon is displayed in the status bar. Depending on the type of headset or car kit you have connected, you can then start using the headset or car kit to listen to music and/or make and receive phone calls.

Press and hold the "Call" button on the headset for four to five seconds until the LED light glows purple.


Flip open the headset "boom."

Set your phone into "discovery" or "pairing" mode. Open the Bluetooth settings or options on your phone and choose to add a new device.

Select the "H700" on the phone when it finishes searching for Bluetooth devices.

Enter the passkey for the headset, which is "0000," to finish syncing the headset with your phone.

go to settings, wireless and networks, bluetooth.
make sure bluetooth is on.

turn on your headset, to sync the new headset, normally you have to turn on the device and continue to hold the power button until the headset goes into bluetooth sync mode.
normally around 10-15 seconds of holding the power button.
THen tell HTC to scan for devices. Your headset should appear. if it asks you to type in a code, it is generally 0000 or 1111

I am unable to connect to other devices thought bluetooth to send files. Can any one help

your phone and your headset may not be compatible, you can always call bluetooth or verizon to find out. Bluetooth: 877-668-6258

The pass code should be 0000 but if you get it synced. It will not stay connected. Its not your htc phone. I went to HTC's website to get the bluetooth update, installed it, and im still having the same problems. Its the piece of s#*% em227 bluetooth that is the problem. Your best solution is to go and buy a new bluetooth cause yours, just like mines, wont work. Have A Nice Day

You can tweak the bluetooth to give best results from the bluetooth option. But by doing this your battery charge will fireup very fast... :-)

Hi--First, make sure your "mute" function is off.  Try holding both volume buttons at the same time for a second or two.  If that doesn't help, while you're having a conversation, either with or without bluetooth, make sure your phone's volume is turned up.  On a lot of phones the volume button will control both ringer and conversation volumes, but turning it up without the phone in use only affects the ringer volume.  My husband thought there was something wrong with his bluetooth until we noticed his phone volume was set too low--not as noticeable on handset, but bluetooth apparently needs volume up pretty high!

Do not use the power button to sync.
To sync device, Press + button (volume) and Silver button (on boom) at simultaneously. LED Light will blink RED & BLUE.  Device ID should appear on your screen.
