The error message may be due to a fault with the laser pick up assembly. The problem could be that the lense is very dirty and the laser isn't reading the CD. You may want to try a cleaning CD, if it doesn't work a manual cleaning of the lense may need to be done. The number one cause of error messages is from a dirty lense, this will happen more often if you or someone riding in your vehicle smokes!

Also use Verbatim Pastel brand, because the player recognizes these
discs easier. Also, it wouldn't hurt for you to run a commercial disc
laser cleaner through this thing to clean the optical lens. Burn music
using Nero software because its
easy and the best.
