No worries, you can get the mini-DVI (for macbooks) to rca adapter. You can purchase this on store.apple.com for $19. Just plug the yellow RCA wire into this and VOILA! Mac to TV! You might also try Ebay.com. They usually have them for less and shipping is usually fast (if you buy in the US and make sure they have decent feedback...my rule is no less than 90%) I hope this helps you! Don't forget to vote. On Fixya, we rely on your feedback. I posted a picture of the mini-DVI to RCA adapter below:can i connect by apple computer to my tv - mini-dvi-to-dvi-300x210.jpg

Testimonial: "you are the best. thank you for any guidance you can give me. great feedback."

**** I forget to mention that this MINI-DVI ADAPTER USUALLY HAS RCA AND S-VIDEO. For better quality, you may want to use the s-video instead of RCA. Good luck!

I just saw your updated comments. I apologize, I didn't realize that you had the new unibody (early 2009) MacBook. First, I'd like to say EXCELLENT CHOICE! However, I'm glad you did notice the incompatibility before you purchased the adapter. The problem we run into is Apple decided to do away with the mini-DVI port and just kept the mini-display port which was/is also on the earlier models. This isn't all bad because I've worked on several that have had issues with the mini-DVi (it was a bit of a sloppy connection in my opinion). Anyway, you can still purchase a mini-display port to s-video adapter. They look very similar to the mini-DVI so you already have the idea in mind. The only hang up is that you can't go directly into your TV with the s-video. You'll need a converter like the one I'm going to post a pictur of below. This particular model is $45 but I suggest Ebay once again. This model is called PC-To-Video EZ . There are tons like it out there (some much better and some average). Try this item number on ebay:220594925078. Just put it in the search & it should pop up. It's a pretty decent converter. The one pictured below is from GRANDTEC.COM Also, with S-Video, you should be fine with sound.

Can you help with this error message: "Check connections or power. The connections for RGBHV or YPrPb may be invalid." Getting no picture for any devices connected to the screen.

There is a problem with the Component video cables and/or connection. These are the 5 RCA cables. Red, Blue, Green and two additonal cables for audio in red and white. Be sure they are connected to the proper ports on each end. Not sure what you have connected to the TV with these cables, but HDMI would be best. You also should have selected "Video" from the Input button on the tv's remote. Check these and follow up if possible.

How to conect dvd player to my mitsubishi tv model WD-52525

You have several options with your TV depending on your DVD player. The best quality video will be achieved with an HDMI cable if your DVD player has an HDMI output. Next best would be to use a component video connection which consists of 3 RCA cables for video and two for audio. The third option is S video (round connector with pins inside)

Mitsubitishi TV model VS50800 (1998) - sound but no picture. What could the problem be, defective 'bulb'?

There may be a switch on the back of the TV that chooses whether to output video to the component connections or the RCA/S-Video connections.

RCA cables - red, yellow, white
S-Video - single cord (usually black)
Component Video Cables - red, green, blue

The tv acts like the cable has gone out even though it has not. on my mitshubishi rear projection 52 in

do you have the yellow video and red and white audio rca cables ?
it will give you a better picture than the coax connection.
but the tv tuner may be going , so using the rca jacks would eliminate the tuner, but finding out which tuner is bad ( cable box if using one or the tv tuner)should be checked with another tv to see if it also happends to that tv , if it does not then the other tv tuner is bad and needs to be replaced

Mitsubishi hd 1080

The format of what you are watching plays a major part in whether all of the screen is used. If the program is 4:3 the screen will remain pretty much square. 16: 9 would be the most desirable for filling all the area. Go ahead and acquire a manual, they're not much...accordianman
