This deck uses a unique security code that is created when activated and can't be reset or otherwise determined. If you do not know this code, Kenwood may take it in and reset it for you, but would require taking the entire deck to a service depot that repairs kenwood electronics. The Security features are installed into the ecu at the dealership. you can unplug the battery for 15 minutes and then re connect them this resets sensor codes and such but im pretty sure that your problem will still persist. i know for a fact that even if you replaced the ecu the security features will not let the vehicle run without pairing the new ecu with the existing security features.

Most remote starters do not lose their "memory" when power is lost. However, if an older version bypass module was used for your vehicle it may need to be reset but you must know the model. If you are not able to look under the dash panels yourself, you should take it to your nearest dealer/installer. Some also reset or relearn after the first key start. The FCC number off of one remote may help narrow down model of the remote start also. Vehicle info will also be helpful.
