Depending on what is causing the breaker to blow will be important to know. Refrigerators do draw a good bit of power on a 20 amp circuit especially when the refrigerator goes into defrost. Refrigerators are made to run on a 20 amp circuit without other machines or appliances using the same power circuit. Circuit breakers weaken over time too especially if they have more than they are. rated for plugged into the same circuit. And your circuit may be doing its job by detecting an excessive draw of power when the refrigerator is plugged in. You must have someone that knows electricity to inspect your refrigerator for shorting and the circuit it is plugged to for correct wiring for every ones safety. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Fisher & Pykel RF610A sporadically tripping house circuit breaker.

It may be the power circuit breaker. I had a similar problem with my oven and it turned out to be a loose connection to the breaker. Try plugging the fridge in to another power outlet.

Blowing fuses

Defrost element will be causing a short circuit. If the house fuse is blowing it would indicate that the value of the circuit breaker on the fridge circuit is too high.
Replace the defrost element .

Compressor keeps turning on and off, I can hear it and it dims the lights showing an increase in power draw, it will blow the main circuit breaker to the house. Therefore it does not run enough to remove...

If when it's running it dims the lights in the room or entire house, The circuit breaker for the receptacle it's plugged into, is not a high enough amperage to carry the dehumidifier and whatever other electrical appliances that are on the same circuit. OR if your house is hold enough (1970's era), it may have aluminum wiring and its overheating .

If it's blowing the Main Circuit Breaker for the entire house and not just the circuit breaker for the receptacle it's plugged into, Stop using the dehumidifier immediately!!! Have an certified electrician check your home's circuit breaker panel and wiring. This could be a dangerous situation.

Keeps blowing the breaker... only 6 months old

This compressor is small however like other brands in this size range draw 13 - 15 amps. Thats quite a bit of power. The compressor has a thermal breaker that will begin to trip if compressor is hot. I am assuming that the breaker that is tripping is the one on the compessor. I have seen many hitachi breakers fail. Easy to replace with generic 20 amp, cost about $10. Before you replace anything, check amp draw with meter, if within specs try to determine what is causing heat.
example:
cycling too many times per hour (check manual for recommended)
low power due to weak circuit or extension cord
using generator for powering compressor (not recommended)
using low quality oil (use synthetic if hot climate)
air leaking from intank checkvalve back to pump
If no reason to overheat then replace breaker on compressor to 20 amp but watch for overheating. Good luck

My Maytag MTF2172HR* keeps blowing the fuse

Hello,
You guys are gonna LOVE this one.
I called a local appliance repair man, who said it sounds like the compressor.
He went on to tell me if it was the compressor, I would have forked over $75.00 to him, and, now need a new fridge, as it's probably not worth to replace.
I was a bit angry, so, deciding what to do, I started snooping around the back of the fridge.
Everything back there looks brand new, and clean, so I was starting to think it wasn't the compressor.
I put in a new breaker in the circuit panel, and, still blew.
As I was behind the fridge, I grabbed the power cord, and felt something strange- looked down, the power cord was cut through and twisted, exposing the little wires inside, and, visibly crossing them.
So, I'm going to go to the appliance store, and see if they have a replacement power cord.
Thanks,
