You don't need an installation CD to setup the wireless but you do need the ADSL settings from your Internet provider to configure the ADSL modem. Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open the browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link's configuration URL.. http://192.168.0.1 The default login = admin The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password. You can now configure the wireless settings. (WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access). Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security .

1. in a PC connected to your modem, open a browser and visit http://192.168.0.1 when prompted: username = admin password = admin (or try also <blank> or no password
You have to access the IP address of the router. It is most likely 192.168.1.1 try using "admin" as the username and either "admin" again as the password or "password". You should be able to configure all settings there.
You can access your wireless router by first running you ethernet cable from pc to wireless, then in address bar, type 192.168.1.1 and this will enter the wireless router's software. If it asks for username and password, try typing admin for both.

Then unplug the ethernet cable and switch the network connectiion again enable wireless disable local area also you need to scan the available wireless internet and pick the one you just named use the webkey to access and save when the connection in made.
I have just set up 4200 with dsl - you may find that you need to reset modem before you can configure. I was told that you need either a grey or yellow cable from your laptop to the modem. I use 10.0.0.138 to access modem. The 4200 I have was from a bigpond a/c - originally configured accordingly. Regards, Richard
